Good Morning everyone.
Dinner is in the crockpot so it will be easy tonight. Anthony has a baseball game. I'll also have dinner for another night or 2. I made chili which my husband has wanted since football season started. I should get 3 meals out of it because I will add rice for the last night to stretch it.
I just got back from the foot doctor and I can go without a bandage on my foot for the first time since JULY!!! Still have to be careful and keep moisturizing the area but it is about 95% healed. The Athlete's Foot is healing well too.
I had such a fight for the last couple of weeks trying to get one of my husband's meds refilled. For some reason this one gets overlooked and the company that manages the prescriptions kept trying his doctors office with no response. Told them again that they probably won't and if they do be scared. That doctor died a year ago from Covid. The new doctor switched practices and the replacement at the office REFUSED to fill the meds because he needs an appointment as he hasn't been seen there. He was there in June and has an appointment in November. I finally asked my husband what he thinks about it all and we have decided to follow the doctor that left the practice. The office is about 20 minutes away instead of 5 but we both liked him. The best part - he refilled the meds immediately and we will have them by Saturday.
We are expecting heavy rains tomorrow so I will be doing some more cleaning out in the house. I love my new shredder. I used it on all the paper work that had piled up and the shreds filled the box it came in. It cross shreds and handles Credit Cards too so I am happy. I got a consensus on paint and we are going 2 shades darker on the accent wall and 2 other small areas. Progress is being made.
My little guys had a football game the other day and I really do NOT like the coaches or their mentality/philosophy. Benny is a bit of a clown, nothing gets to him usually but he HATES football. The coaches refused to put him in the game because he doesn't take practice seriously. Ben sat by us and the coaches never noticed - the ENTIRE game, until my daughter went up to the one coach and said something. He flipped out. He came over and told Ben he needs to be on the field or take off his pads. If he takes off the pads he is off of the team. Monday's practice he got really snippy with my daughter and said that Ben caused the team to be fined $150. Then he screamed at these little boys for 15 minutes that just because they won 1 game they aren't winners, they are acting like losers and nobody likes a loser. He only coaches winners and they need to act like it. These boys are 5-6-7 years old. I'm glad I didn't hear that because I would have gone off. I coached for years and at this age level. Granted it was baseball but my philosophy, especially at such a young age was 1) Have FUN, 2) Learn something new and 3) HAVE FUN!!!! Ben and Wyatt both want to quit now, they are on the same team. I detest that football mentality.
QOTD: I definitely know when the Barometric pressure changes, rain or snow. I get a wicked headache and my back aches. I do think the moon can effect behaviors. When I had my youngest she was a scheduled C-Section. It was a full moon and the Delivery ward was packed so I had a room mate. The one nurse said they always saw more deliveries during a full moon than any other time of the month.
