Big progress being made today. Up in a wheelchair, dressed, ate in the dining room, PT and OT already. Another PT session this afternoon, and his biggie for the day, actual trip to the "powder room" lol. He is on much better spirits, as I am I. More later on.....

Slipping thread not allowed!

Such a wonderful update, dear Lynn. Praise God!

My new Suncatcher Cross come today. I will take a much brighter (I hope) picture of it once my walls are done (green papered) and/or I decide where to hang it. One great day when all is safe again, I might bring it to Hobby Lobby or Michaels and ask them whether some type of pink ribbon would be strong enough to hold the suncatcher (if the chain could be removed). I would prefer no metal but it's still lovely. On a wall related note, I did order a new green tape this morning on Amazon, scheduled to come tomorrow, that hopefully this time truly will be a bright, light green color :)

Prayers indeed all of you are having a good Monday!

@flyingdumbo127 Mona, that suncatcher is lovely.! Will go so nice with the green paper you got!

I am home. PT worked him for more than an hour and a half this afternoon. He walked more than 30 feet with the walker (compared to the 3 steps the last time they tried when he was in High Level), and they did leg stretches, knee and ankle bends etc ..40 times each on each leg. Kevin is the same PT guy we had when Mr. L was in the hospital for the cardiac stuff 5 years ago. He said he did a doubletake when he saw the name on his schedule for today. I am so glad he's still there..hubby responds well to him, and they are going to make a lot of progress!

When he got back to his room, they had the new bed with the 'dolphin' mattress on it in there. Kind of like a water bed, and much more comfy for him. They are trying to make sure the pressure sores caused by the high level unit get better , instead of worse. He is tired, but I think that he even surprised himself with how much he did. He just needs his confidence back, this was a big hit to it. They are taking it very easy on his arm, trying to figure out ways around not putting more than 10 lbs of weight on it, and I am sure they will succeed.

Its a hot 90 out again, but not quite as muggy.

I have to put a load of laundry in, feed the cats, and then find something for dinner.

Am going to just say a big THANK YOU, once again to all of you..for everything, and I mean everything!!!

So good to hear your news Lynn! Prayers for your dad flyingdumbo.

Worked most of the day in the office. Did get out to make a couple of bank runs plus a drop off at the post office mail box. The skies opened up and it just poured. So nice to get some rain!

A friend of mine that lives about five miles away has found army worms in her yard. She has such a beautifully landscaped yard. I hope that they get the worms under control.

Dinner tonight is salmon, rice and something else, haven't decided yet.

I've never heard of Army Worms, so I googled them. Learn something new everyday...interesting! Right now my problem in a good old fashioned yellow mutt who won't stop eating my volunteer pumpkin plant leaves.

Requesting more prayers for DS. We are in the ER again. :sad1:
Oh my goodness, I hope they can help him. Good thoughts to you & your husband, and of course, your son.

Will do. I hope you get answers.

I've never heard of Army Worms,
I had not either.

In an aside from all the health problems, what to you think of this dress? I bought it at Macy's and can return. Please be honest. I got navy but the lilac haze looks more like how it fit me. Neither DD or DDIL liked it. DD thought it looked matronly.

Good night bump.

Good morning QUACKERS!

@PollyannaMom continued prayers going out to you and your son and family , that they figure this out and get him better soon!

@Breezy_Carol I don't think the dress looks matronly, I like it! I don't care for the lilac color, but the light blue is also pretty

Its only 61 outside now, but going to 90 again. We may get a slight reprieve tomorrow and Thursday, but still no rain in sight, and we need it badly.

I heard splashing when I went outside this morning, and wondered who on earth was in a pool at 4:30. Shined my flashlight on the kiddie pool next door, and the raccoon family were in it taking a morning dip? LOL! At least they were over there and not in our yard.

I hope hubby slept well last nite, between all the OT, PT, and the new mattress, he should have!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

- Prayers for your dad. Hope all is well.Good Morning everyone.

@lynxstch - Glad your husband is doing better now that he was moved.

@Breezy_Carol - the dress doesn't appear matronly to me but then again I'm not the best judge of dresses. I don't wear them - ever! Refused to wear one even when my daughter got married. She was fine with that since she knows how I feel. My mom however, best not to go there.

@PollyannaMom - hope they figure out what's going wrong with your son soon.

@flyingdumbo127 - prayers for your dad.

Ok that is all I remember. Still working on pictures. I figured out I am going through 1,020 files and 113,100 pictures multiple times. No wonder it is taking me forever. I was so tired after figuring that out that I took a quick nap and slept right through the meeting I was supposed to attend by Zoom for church. They were warned I might not make it..

On a positive note my grandson's ankle has healed. The poor kid was so worried that one leg would be shorter than the other or that it was deformed that he was in tears Sunday night begging his mom to take him instead of me. Thankfully my daughter had a very light schedule in the OR so they were able to let her leave early. He does need PT for about 6 weeks to strengthen the ankle but he can play immediately. I am getting him a brace for some added support which the doctor thought was an excellent idea. (We did that with my oldest grandson after he had a really nasty sprain.) He also wants a "real" compression sleeve so of course we will get him that also. I laughed when he told me that he cut the sleeve off of a compression shirt he had from football.

Not much on my agenda today, my youngest grandson is under the weather so I didn't have to take the boys to camp today. Food shopping and then resting my foot. The blister I had is bothering me again. New sneakers rubbed the same spot. This has NOT been fun. I may switch to sandals for a week or so to give it a chance to heal.

Hope everyone has a great day.

We have been walking at a park several times over the last week and a half here in Maryland and watching a next of ospreys. Aka sea hawk. We even saw the mama. Or maybe papa bring A large fish to the nest. The weather and relaxation has beeen great. Then home to sports tournaments, me - teaching at a summer camp for 2 weeks, sports practices and back to school shopping.
