Good Morning!
Before I reply to all of you, I have a perfect Quacker story to share of how God indeed works in a most beautiful and mysterious way and of course, is with us always! Dad and I had ordered from Rite Aid.com a couple weeks ago. I know this may be a little TMI, but I use one of their store brands of Maxis for “that time of month” and the cost of this product is a dollar cheaper online than in store! No, Rite Aid stores will not price match their online prices unlike say Target. So we placed our order which included maxis among other things. Tracking indicated the package was due to come via Fed Ex this last Tuesday.
Tuesday afternoon, when we had not received our package, we checked the tracking to discover it indicated that the package had been delivered! Dad went all-around our building to look yet found no trace of a big brown Rite Aid box. In the past sadly, we have had a few deliveries NOT brought directly to our door but instead left by the mailboxes at the front of the building where truly anyone could take it. This building has no front security gate
Long story short is after a call to Fed Ex and being told on their end, the package indeed indicated it was delivered but that they would further look into it, we placed a call to Rite Aid to let them know what had happened. Rite Aid said should we not receive the package by the weekend to call on Monday at which time they would take action and do something for us. Fed Ex did call us back but it was just to once more reiterate that on their end the package was delivered. Dad and I simply thought we’d be calling Rite Aid on Monday. God, of course, as He does always has the best plan!
Late last night, our doorbell rang! Yes this startled us both and was very unexpected. Dad cautiously opened the door and spoke to the man on the other side. Guess who it was? A neighbor from the building next door had noticed a big brown Rite Box sitting by his apartment’s mailboxes all week. He finally looked at the label to realize it had our address on it. So like the kind man he was, he brought it to us! Dad and I both needed a dash of extra cheer last night and God sure delivered it! I hope this made all of you smile!
I didn’t mention one other very cool twist to this. Dad has an older brother Joe, who lives in IL. They have become a little closer over the last several years than they had been. When Dad first saw the neighbor last night, he told me he did a double take for a moment because he really thought it was somehow his brother! (Dad’s brother has health issues and probably would not be able to travel all the way here) I told Dad this morning that I believe God purposely had the neighbor resemble, Joe, so that Dad would pause (and a tiny bit more comfortably so) to listen to what the man at the door had to say! And to receive a good night from God.
Onto my replies
