How do you store your printed photos? Frames, photo boxes, albums, scrapbooks....
I used to put hard copies in photo albums. When the kids were small, I had separate photo albums for them but once they started school I combined them, they were in so many pictures together anyway. After they graduated from high school, I made them both a high school years photo book. I also made them photo books for their Boy/Girl Scout years. I used to use My Publisher for the photo books until they were bought out by Shutterfly, now I use them. I've made photo books of our wedding, Disney trips, regular trips, reunions and other various things we've done. I store my digital photos on a portable drive.

I have a couple of years of photos that I need to do something with on my phone. I've made yearly photo books called A Year in Review, I am a couple of years behind on those. 😄

I've got a lot of photos of my mom's that I need to scan and pass on to other family members. I have a printer that scans but it's a pain to use. I plan to look into just a photo scanner and see if I can find one that is not too expensive.

Chair update is sadly it will be going back to Staples.
Sorry to hear that your chair doesn't work. I can sympathize but in a different way. DH is 12" taller than me and furniture does not fit us both the same way. I've always deferred to him just because I can sit somewhat comfortably in furniture that fits him but he is definitely not comfortable in furniture that fits me. I've told him that the next recliner we get is going to be mine. :rotfl2:

We are home from errands and grocery shopping,,temp is already 80..and ICK..the cicada's started emerging this morning..Ugly little noisy things.
I've heard that this year there is going to be a lot of them.

We've recently "rediscovered" egg salad. For some reason it wasn't something I usually made, not for any particular reason. Goodness knows we eat a lot of eggs - so one day I made some and my husband was like "why haven't we been eating this more often?" haha. So egg salad is back on our rotation.
That sounds good, I need to look into that.

Woke up this morning to beautiful blue skies. My tomato plants are doing well, no apparent damage from so much rain. The Romas are chock full of baby tomatoes and my Cherokee Purple finally has one on it.

Took groceries to the church for our food drive. Received an email from our head minister that with Governor Abbot's lift of the mask mandate both church services would be mask free, a small section of the auditorium would be set aside for those who still wanted to wear masks. They, the ministers and elders, request that masks be worn in all communal areas.

DH had his first shot, Pfizer, this morning. He is not in a good mood. GKs are driving him up the wall and he's only been home 30 minutes. Hope DD comes home soon.

I had planned to go grocery shopping this evening after a dinner out but not sure now if I'll make it.

Thank you, DazedX3 :) I have TMJ (jaw joint) issues which can be triggered from shoulder/back discomfort. The chair was just so firm that it was already causing me trouble so it had to go. Dad will keep an eye out I know for any possible new options. God-willing before the end of the year or by early next year, I’ll be able to go out again myself to try out chairs.

Thank you as well, Kirby! Wow that is quite a height difference between you and your DH! Speaking of your DH, I hope he feels better soon! I like that your church is still offering a section for those who feel more comfortable wearing a mask. Options are a good thing.

85 degrees and HOT in the sun. Nice and cool in here as I left the blinds down and closed, and left the ceiling fans on. I just watered all the tomato plants in the greenhouse..they are doing well
I picked up a garlic seasoned family size rotisserie chicken in Walmart around noon. She was going to mark it down as it was from 8 am,,I said mark it and I'll take it. Got the large one for the same price as a smaller one. Picked up a container of Amish Potato Salad to go with it. No cooking, hardly any dishes,,my kind of meal.
My headache is back, no idea why ( I do think part of it is that my hair is just too long and I am tired of tying it back in a scrunchie all the time..might call my stylist tomorrow and see when she can cut it for me)

Have a nice evening everyone..Mona--sorry about your chair,,but at least you got out of the house to go pick it up yesterday! Hope you find a more comfortable one soon!

Mona, too bad about the chair. I hope you get one soon. Sounds like me and my search for a bike seat, but certainly I haven't been looking as long and it is not a daily thing.

For those of you who have never been to Duck Donuts, named for Duck, NC where they started. The plain vanilla donuts are made to order and then you can chose a coating, a topping, and a drizzle. There are thousands of combinations.

Thanks, Lynn. It was an absolute Blessing to go inside Staples :) Good deal! Longer hair or even weighted down hair definitely has caused me issues as well. As you know I don't go anywhere now but even when I used to, it was more comfortable to wear my hair down after so many years of scrunchies or tying it back. I hope you get a summery cut you are happy with, my friend.

Thank you also, Carol. I hope you find a new bike seat soon. Wow, I never realized there was an actually town named Duck! I do sometimes get Duck Brand tapes as they can be cheaper than Scotch but otherwise had not known of any other duck products. Okay now donuts really sound tasty!

Good morning QUACK'ers! Going to be a hot hot hot few days around here,,temps close to 90. At least we will get to use the new ac unit finally! The cicada's are increasing in numbers too, but so far they haven't started their mating noises. If they do, the windows will be closed! I just walked around the yard. The ground is alive with those things crawling out, the trees are covered in them I just caught one of the outside cats trying to eat one. ICK!!!! I won't be walking around the yard barefooted for a couple of weeks, that's for sure. At the base of our big black walnut tree, there is a whole ring of cast off shells, gross! Every 17 years is too often, it should be 100 years or never ,lol!

New power wash gun for the power washer will be here today, they recalled them so I have been waiting for the new one to get that done. It's a good job for when it's hot out anyhow, lol!

Too hot to plant my tomatoes yet, and the seeds for the cukes and squash have to wait till I put down the landscape fabric

Hubby got up at 4:15 this morning, which of course threw my schedule off for the day, and I still have a headache on top of it.

Have to find something to cook on the grill for dinner, and we will have the corn on the cob I got yesterday. Too early for 'good corn', but at least it's getting closer to having some really good stuff!

Have a nice morning, stay cool if you are in the 'heat zone'!

Good morning.

Supposed to get hot here too.

We also just started seeing the cicada shells, especially around the base of one of the maple trees. And the shells are all over the fence. I am starting to hear a small number of the mating calls but I remember how loud it gets.

Today's plan if mowing the lawn and maybe going to the outlets in Lancaster.

I have a lot of vegetables left over from the party. Last night was chicken stir fry, tonight taco salad.

Haven't seen any evidence of cicadas here yet. Be careful, they attract snakes especially copperheads if you have those up there. A warning went out on the news a couple of years ago that you should be careful at dusk walking around trees especially oaks because the copperheads were there waiting for the cicadas.

I did get to go grocery shopping last night and went out to dinner right before at El Chico. I enjoy having DH join me for grocery shopping, he doesn't put (sneak) things in the basket too often.

Good Morning.... cloudy here and muggy, suppose to get in the 80's this weekend. I don't do well in hot and humid weather ,especially so suddenly.
Trying to finalize plans for the weekend. A high school friend is coming into town, and we and another friend are going to try and have a small get together. So nice to be able to see old friends again!

We have a meeting today at 1, need to stop afterward and get some soil to finish my planting. Also need to mow the lawn, which takes about 3 hours on a rider :sad2:

Thanks for the warning..but we don't live in an area with copperheads (or many snakes other than the occasional garter snake), and we have no oak trees, and no nearby neighbors have them either. Darned cicadas are all over the place though..you can just look at the grass and see it moving as they come up :(

Hola everyone - hope each of you is having a good day.

Husband saw two hummingbirds yesterday, although I missed them. Glad to have them back. I totally forgot to look for the cicadas, so I'm going to make it a point to do that this evening. Last nights dinner was supposed to be turkey burgers w/ fries but " complications arose, ensued, were overcome" to quote our favorite pirate, so we will instead be having them for dinner tonight.

Stay cool, Lynn! Send some of your sunshine to me, please! Yuck to the creepy crawlies and their noise! I really hope you get to feeling better. Concerned about you and always care so much.

You keep cool and away from the bugs also, Carol. An outlet mall trip sounds like fun. I hope you enjoy and get some good deals :) What a beautiful family picture. Carter and his cupcake, so precious indeed!

Okay, Kirby, snakes are WORSE than bugs, eek! LOL to your DH sneaking in items into the grocery cart, that is so funny :)
So glad to read you will have some fun with friends today, DazedX3 that is wonderful :) Humidity is simply no fun at all!
Hummingbirds would be a much more welcome sight than bugs or snakes that is for sure, Easyas! I hope today goes smoother for you, friend :)

Keep my Dad in prayer this morning as he goes for his first in person doctor’s visit since late January, 2020 when soon thereafter he got the Shingles! I am so praying all goes quickly and well today. Thank you, friends.

Have a :tigger:Tigger-iffic Thursday!

Ugh, my Mother got a mild case of Shingles a few years ago and even that was very painful and uncomfortable for her. The day I turn 50 I'm lining up for that vaccine for sure! Good luck to him!

I can't recall if I mentioned this yesterday - I don't think so. I headed into the small town we live next to yesterday to run a few errands. There is a college in town and they were setting up to have in-person graduation this Saturday AND the framing store, one of our two grocery stores AND the liquor store I patronize all have suspended their mask requirements. It was soooo nice & freeing to see folks faces, and have them see mine, during our conversation/transaction! Couldn't tell if our local bank tellers were still wearing them as I went thru the drive thru, and our Walgreens still requires them - which makes sense to me. Anyway, it was nice to see things starting to break loose.

I'm sorry about your Mom, Easyas! I was sick for a good week+ in January 2020. Dad caught it from me and while still sick with a cold (we will never know, of course, whether either of us at that time had a mild case of the Covid plague), got Shingles! He thinks he got it from a senior gym he used to go to often. I felt extra badly for him because he was really in not good shape over his birthday in early February last year. Thank God, he got all well and so did I. Then of course a month or so later came Covid! I am most grateful we both got well before that! Wow those are all good positive things to read :)

I hope all of you are having a good Thursday so far. I almost forgot to say I think I've hit upon the secret to recording a movie or TV show after it has started. 15 minutes early does not always cut it depending when you first have looked at whatever it is you want to record. If you choose to record soon after something has started than I'd say set the DVR so that your starting time is either 15 or even 30 (only gives you 15 minute increments for earlier than the program's original starting time. If you have started later, might want to try even further out. Hope this helps :)

Nice pics, thanks all for sharing! Beautiful weather here today, couldn’t be a more perfect day. Sitting outside for a bit with Toto. Watching two male cardinals fight. (Weird - usually I see the male/female pairs at our feeders.) Tired today, been running around all week. (And still have sheets in the dryer and dishes in the dishwasher.) DS was seen and his bloodwork looked good (except they forgot to draw one lab that would’ve been more telling 😬). He’ll have an US next week. Thank you for prayers, so far they’re working. 😇 PT is going well for him, too. Prayers also said for those who asked.

I made a quick, healthy meal last night, it was Asian salad (bagged, in the salad section, mix in crunchies and dressing, love those) with leftover grilled chicken and fresh pineapple. Really good. Tonight I‘m thinking a romaine salad with take out pizza. In for a long weekend, taking it easy tonight. Been sleeping pretty good but like some of you, don’t want to turn the AC on yet. It was hot in the house. Thankfully I keep a fan next to me! 🥵 I did get some estate stuff taken care of this week and I think it helped me sleep better. Still have to go to that one bank I don’t like, but I’ll have to tackle that next week. The guy I dealt with the other day was the same guy who before wouldn’t let me use the Power of Attorney (the one time I went to use it) and who our lawyer said was in the wrong. When I saw him at the desk I almost went to another branch, but decided it wasn’t worth my time. He’s a curmudgeon, but it was fine. He told me that some people take many years to come in to get these estate tasks done. I can see why.

That type of meal is a huge go-to for us, especially this time of year. Chicken/pork/fish/venison/beef/lamb...anything over a salad! It's just so convenient for our lifestyle/hours that we kind of fell into doing it several times per week!

Glad your son is feeling better-

Maryland just announced a lottery for those of us in the State of MD who have gotten the vaccine/ to promote getting the vaccine. But we got ours in DE, so I don't think it's for us. Oh well! DE drops it's mask mandate inside/outside tomorrow. As with many other places, I guess it will actually depend on how the individual store owners/corporate structure dictates they move forward, still a good step. I'm on the road tomorrow, Delaware mid day and afternoon, and will be stopping at a Target in Easton, MD on my way home to pick up a online order. I'm looking forward to seeing who is and isn't requiring masks and continuing my completely non scientific study of where and where not!

Almost forgot, also made a corn chowder this week, served with some bacon bits on top just before serving. Something Mom always made. Been missing her a lot lately, since Mother’s Day, and with all the estate stuff. (Was easier not to have to think about it.) But as I said to DD the other day, I can now remember more the good times, than the hard times at the end. (And hopefully that only continues to improve.) I use her laundry machines a lot because they’re closer than my own (main floor vs downstairs), so it’s hard not to think about her when I’m in her apt. It’s all good, though, nothing to worry about, just normal sadness after that type of loss. DH has also been mourning his father. What a pair. How are you doing with everything @AuntieMe3?
