Slipping thread!

Hooray for the library being open, PollyannaMom 📚 I hope you picked out lots of good books. The library is one of my top 5 places to visit post pandemic! That craft is adorable and so clever, too. I really enjoy hearing about and seeing the creative projects you and the kids do. You are making such a difference to them :)

Wishing everyone a good evening!

Today I wrote an email/letter regarding a refund I am trying to get from a travel insurance policy for a cruise that was cancelled. Trying to get the premium refunded, not the cruise as I had to rebook it. I have made multiple phone calls and sent emails without any response. I have been putting this off but finally got it done today. Now I wait.

Spaghetti and salad for dinner. Now watching TV.

Gratitude:
Received a long, information filled email from DS.
DS and DDIL rescheduled their Hawaii vacation, that was cancelled last April, to this May.
Finished the book I was reading for our church book group.

Good morning QUACKERS! Happy St Patricks Day to all! Nothing new or exciting going on here, as usual. Will be doing grocery shopping this morning, then if warm enough to open a window or 2 , I want to start cleaning the carpets. The machine dries it out fairly well, but open windows help it dry even faster. Was glad to see the stimulus checks went in this morning as expected, hope everyone that is getting one gets theirs too. Going to put the corned beef in the crockpot before we leave, then it will be corned beef, cabbage, red potatoes and carrots for dinner. Have to find a dessert at the store for tonite. 9c74003627a1827e74193107dd9c352a--happy-st-patricks-day-st-patricks-day.jpgWill check back in later to see what's going on,,have a nice morning!

Good morning all, hope everyone is well.

Not much to report on my end. Another day at work, not much going on or happening besides the usual! One of the two sundresses I ordered is scheduled to be delivered today, as is the XXXL Hawaiian shirt I ordered our Great Dane - when I saw it I was like HELLO TAKE MY MONEY. Husband is feeling much better after spending 24 hours just taking it easy. This weekend is looking very nice in terms of weather and activity, so that is good.
I did just find out I need to attend a 3 hour online meeting in 2 weeks. It replaces the meeting we were supposed to attend in the Caymans. Obviously I'd rather be there than at my desk :sad2: but we are contractually obligated to attend the meeting no matter where/how it takes place. I'm sure I'll survive.

Ended up just having grilled cheese ( you know those crispy red peppers you can get in the grocery store in the crouton section? I put those on them and two thumbs up there!) for supper last night, so tonight will be the fish. Tomorrow will be pasta. Friday I'm not at all sure what it will be.

Good morning.

@lynxstch, what time is dinner? We’ll be there and bring dessert.

Actually, we are getting subs from Capriottis as they are donating to our church’s campus ministry today. It will be interesting driving through Newark tonight as it is a college town and would normally have a lot of drinking on St. Patrick’s Day.

Otherwise, no plans. Maybe a walk if it warms up enough.

Good news is that our stimulus check hit the bank account today.

Sounds good to me..come hungry--and no need for you to bring dessert...save your subs for tomorrow, lol!

Misting just enough here to say it's raining right now

isn't it nice to get 'free money'? lol!

A shirt for your Great Dane? That requires a pic of him to be wearing after you get it, pretty please!!!

Waving hi from CA! Good Morning, Everyone and Happy St. Patrick's Day.

I also want to see the doggie sporting his new shirt :) I hope you do get to take your trip as well, Easyas! I also pray one day post pandemic all of you Maryland ladies can indeed meet and somehow get out here so I can also be Blessed by meeting all of you.

Gratitude so far that stimulus checks were deposited, another good night's rest, and always, another day of health, life, and ability to serve with joy, along with spending time with my Dad.

Looks like just the Maryland contingent this morning.

I'm finally on here in Mass. It was just a busy morning with the little ones - lots of leprechaun stuff, and some St. Patrick's Day science (vinegar and baking soda, just like the volcano thing, but in "pots of gold". - I hid different food colors under the baking soda, so they erupted in different, surprise colors. :rainbow:)

Glad to see some other states accounted for now.

@PollyannaMom, sounds like a fun activity. After the snow this winter, DD made a volcano in the snow for Tessa. It was so funny how far Tessa stood back to be sure she was safe.

I can report that Royal Farms fish wasn't terrible for free but I doubt I'd spend money on it.

I'm here from Wisconsin. Got my first Covid vaccine this morning, so hoping this is the beginning of an end to a very long, trying year.
I also quit my job yesterday, not even a Thank you after 22 years. Oh well, just shows it was the right decision :)

Wow - a historic 24 hours for you. Good luck with what the future brings you!

Sunshine, where are you?!?! I'm ready for a bit of sun, it's been a gloomy few days!

@dazedx3--wow..that was not very nice of your employer to not even say thank you after 22 years of service

Did grocery shopping, and man could you tell lots of people got their stimulus. Tvs were flying out of Walmart along with printers, air fryers, microwaves, etc. Ours is staying in the bank. I ended up getting a small decorated carrot cake for our dessert tonite, just big enough for each of us to have 1 piece tonite and the rest tomorrow. Corned beef smells soooo good, can't wait for dinner!
Sun came out and then disappeared, temp is at 48 even though they said it would get to 61.
Enjoy the rest of your St Patricks Day!

Oh..I did hear from Webmaster Corey about the McAffee/Norton expired thing hijacking the page. He is going to start eliminating some ads, trying to narrow down to where they are coming from!

That's really rotten, DazedX3. I am glad you have moved on from what sounds like a negative job environment. I know how toxic those can be. Hugs, and going forward prayers.

Glad to read some extra check ins as well :)

Our mail already came. Mostly junk but Dad did get a magazine along with some Ralph's coupons. Definitely an improved mail situation here. I am sure sorry it is still a problem for a lot of you.

Wishing all of you a good afternoon.
