Good Morning

It's cooler here than it was yesterday. I'm grateful to be wearing fuzzy PJ pants and socks alike. Spectrum is supposed to be here within the next hour and half to hopefully once and for all fix our cable box daily issues!

Lynn, hug, prayers you did get some extra rest.

Favorite WDW park character is Miko from Pocahontas. (That goes back to my first trip. - I should look for a pic later, but I’m not at home right now.)

Stopping in to say hooray Spectrum came and hopefully our cable box issues are resolved. The problem was a splitter connection that was not properly working causing the box to constantly freeze or reboot as it tried to send a new signal. That wire has been replaced. Keeping in prayer TV is all good now!

I enjoyed Mary Poppins, too, PollyannaMom. I do admit to thinking it was awfully long (I don't have longer movie patience). Loved the story

We have a bright sunny 38 degree afternoon. Winds are gone. I chopped some of the ice that was left around the car and the back steps,,and it's all melted. I mixed up a meatloaf for dinner tonite, and making mac and cheese and a salad to go with it. Just had a power outage that lasted about 2 min, just enough so I had to run around resetting and rebooting everything. Good thing it wasn't off longer, or hubby would have no oxygen unless we got out the emergency tank. Whew! Hope everyone is having a nice afternoon!

QOTD That is easy GRUMPY!!! I have numerous Grumpy shirts, even for Christmas and love wearing them around my mom to annoy her. She hates them, then again she doesn't like Disney. I think I may be a Changling from the Fae. Don't mind me reading a new book series about time travel to Medieval Scotland and the Fae (Fairies) figure prominently in the books.

I need a diversion. I am so stressed out worrying about LJ that everything is beginning to annoy me. My favorite destress spot is DIsney but I am afraid to travel anywhere right now and if I did I would be forced to quarantine when I come home. Plus I want to see that baby.

The LJ update is they are doing chest X-rays and an echocardiogram today. That has to mean they are worried about his heart so of course I am in straight panic mode on the inside while trying to stay calm on the outside. On the positive side he is a fighter. My grandson said he has been trying to do "push-ups". He comes from tough stock but I am still worried.

I have a disappointing cable box update already The cable box rebooted a few minutes ago. Dad will have to call Spectrum. The guy was here for near an hour too! Dad said/he sounded so nice and knowledgeable, too. I didn't meet John (Spectrum guy) because of distancing safely in the back of the apartment but sure had high hopes he solved the issue. He did not change out our box so maybe that is still the problem in part? I'll share more later. Thank you all so much for listening to me vent about cable troubles for so long now.

TaxDev. Every situation is different, but my nephew was on oxygen for 2 weeks at birth and slowly weaned off . At 9 months old he got a winter cold and was in the hospital fro 3 days, oxygen again. Now they gave him a breathing treatment to do at home when he starts to get a cold....knock on wood...he’s been fine for over a year now.

Is the box maybe just doing updates? Ours went out when the power went out, but came right back on with no issues. Hopefully you can call and maybe get them to do something about replacing the box.

Lynn, it seems to be fine ever since. Hopefully it was just updating! So far so good

My Dad got an unexpected extra early birthday gift from Walmart today. Included within our order from yesterday (outstanding service) was a box of instant cream of wheat. I did a chat with Walmart who thanked me for letting them know. They assured me we were not charged and could keep it. So Dad has an extra breakfast on cold days.

No USPS mail yet but it is early not even 2pm.

@flyingdumbo127 I hope you can get your cable issues straightened our. It is frustrating especially when we have to spend so much time at home now. Maybe it is the cable box itself.

My favorite Disney character is Belle. I just like her attitude and character. Plus she loves to read.

It is not too cold here today at 35 degrees. Everyone got their walk done today. We just had to watch for ice patches on the road. The snowbanks are piled high so pieces keep falling into the street.

Supper tonight is just soup and corn muffins. I have been craving some cream of tomato soup. It is my comfort food and I am looking forward to it.

Here is our TV story. We have a small wall mounted TV in the bedroom. It's not that old. Yesterday, it turned off on its own. I turned it back on and it immediately turned off. DH tried later and no luck keeping it on. So, we have 3 extra TVs from MIL and DH's office. We brought one up from the cellar and connected to use last night and this morning, but it was much smaller. Today we brought up another that is bigger but older and still not as large as the one there. Took the old one off the wall mount and tried the new one before hanging it. It worked but before we hung it, I said, lets try the original TV again. Turned it on and left it on for over an hour with no problem so rehung it on the wall. So basically, after trying two TVs and finding the codes to connect to cable and moving batteries between remotes, we are back where we were 24 hours ago.

Can't remember if I posted that DS stood post on Inauguration Day with someone who later tested positive for COVID. He was outside and masked and 3 weeks post first vaccine so not too worried. Actually got the second shot the day after Inauguration and got sent home on quarantine on that Saturday. Today is 2 weeks post exposure and he has had 2 negative tests so is back to work tomorrow.

We got a Blue Apron box today so tonight is one pan pork chops and sauteed cabbage with marinated apple. Fancy!

Prayers your appointment went well, Carol. Many prayers for your DS's continued safety and health! Wow that is so TV-odd! I am so sorry you are having TV trouble. My TV with the old box, would sometimes turn on by itself! That seemed to thankfully stop. Yesterday, it came on again! The Vizio "V" will still flash on randomly.

Keeping baby LJ in my thoughts.

We got some not so great news about my mom today. My dad is heading down in the morning to go over some test results with the Drs when they talk to my mom. SIL is an RN and she's seems optimistic so we're all trying to be too. Please keep my mom in your thoughts that whatever needs to happen is manageable, especially for my mom.

My dad came down for DH to help him with something on the car, we were all out there while they were doing it and got to see this beautiful sunset.
