Another bump to prevent further slippage!

I hope your worship meeting is going well Carol, as I type this! :)

Packages, including my post card stamps, came via the USPS mail. As of now, there has been zero mailbox mail. I hope that is not starting again (where we only get packages).

Wishing each of you a good evening :)

Slipping down page one so a quick bump before I make spaghetti and salad for dinner. Must remember 7pm Zoom meeting for worship team.

Snow changed to sleet and rain and now back to a light, continuous snow.

Just a few big fat flakes gently falling outside. No further accumulation after about 1 pm. The sun came out a little, temp went up to 34 and a lot of what I shoveled was already melted down to blacktop. We may get some winds tomorrow, but the snow is done. Once again, living in the little valley saved us from more snow. We had a total of 6.1"..places to the west of us got around 11".
I could do nicely without any sleet or freezing rain, so I hope it stays just snow for you Carol!

@dazedx3, so sorry to hear about your sister. And for you to need surgery too. Will lift prayers up for you all.

Good news, Lou Lou's test for Covid came back negative. Her runny nose and cough are slowly going away but Lil Joe woke up coughing and sneezing. DH is also coughing but it seems that any more he gets a cough on and off from October through March. Sometimes he has to go to the doctor for it but trying to get him to go is like pulling teeth.

Dinner tonight was a breakfast casserole. I know that it's not the rest of my family's favorite but I like it and it provides me with breakfast for a couple of days.

Dh did a curbside pickup of some 4 Rivers BBQ today for lunch. Man, their burnt ends sandwich is just amaze-balls! I had it with some fried okra. DH had his usual brisket/pork combo with baked beans, collard greens and cornbread; and DS had chicken nuggets (because he doesn't like BBQ very much), fries and a salad.

DH's arm is very sore from the vaccination, and he is feeling super tired. He didn't sleep well last night, so I'm sure that is part of it; and his joints ache, but it's been cold and windy here today and his joints usually ache in that weather, so.......He has his 2nd appointment already set up.

Going to bed, have to go to Fresh Market in the morning. Going early to beat the crowds; I need to get some fresh veggies, ground beef and Italian sausage for dinner tomorrow (making a pasta fagioli soup again....just sounded good with the cold weather).

I ordered a box of space postcards on Amazon, and I'm going to send one to each of the little grandkids each month. I remember being thrilled at getting mail when I was little. They are starting to read, so maybe this might help that out.

Prayers for nicer, safer weather for all of you!

Great news, Kirby, on Lou Lou! Prayers she and the rest of your family will feel much better soon!

Yay that you had a tasty lunch treat, B&B. That is so sweet of you to do for your grandkids! :) As a P.S. I don't see a way to PM you. PM me if your grands would like some sticker mail. I can also send it to you. I have plenty, for you as well, Kirby.

Good morning all. I beat you @PollyannaMom--I just came in from shoveling. We got another 1 1/2" overnite, and it was light snow, so it only took me an hour to clear everything off again. They say we might get 15-25 mph winds today, with higher gusts. I do not want snow blowing all over the place so it had better not be too windy. I so done with this storm. I ache all over, but it's so quiet and peaceful out at 5 am, that I love shoveling at that time. The sky is so clear, and there were so many stars out. It was very pretty to look at.
No plans for the day, may hit the discount grocery store later on, and I want to at least steam clean the kitchen floor, I tracked a lot of junk in yesterday going in and out.
Have a nice day, stay safe if out shoveling to all of you who got this storm!Rd56944bab4452c7d63c2c901333b056b.jpg

Good Morning Ya'll!
I keep trying to type something up and I keep getting kicked off so will see if this takes..who knows. It's been cold here and some snow but certainly not the way it is on the East coast or down in the DC Belt area. I don't know how many you were around about 10 years ago when massive snow hit D.C area and I was living there and freaking out! I had never really shoveled snow and Matt was gone (as always) and the snow just kept coming and coming. Oh it was miserable. I kept thinking I'm only 5'2 and this snow is over 2/5-3ft as kept piling up and I'd need a snorkel soon. I painted my kitchen during the snow storm lol I hope everyone stays as warm and safe as possible.

I'm not sure how well my MIL is doing truth be told and I don't think things are going to get better. I am taking her to specialist in two weeks and get down to brass tax of what is going to happen and what we need to be thinking about for the future. She isn't the most helpful about this and tends to want put her head in the ground and just stubborn about how things are done. Right now I'm working on getting her to schedule the vaccine since IN just opened up for 65 and over

My mama got her 2nd vaccine shot last week! It made her and half the nursing home sick for few days but she woke up yesterday feeling better and her arm looks much better thankfully. Just be prepared the second dose can by a doozy.

Thank ya'll for the positive words about the potential position with the suicide prevention training but I chose to wait. As much as I would love the teaching and making impact nationally, I don't think the traveling and all that goes with it is helpful to my family. There will be more opportunities and I'll still be teaching suicide prevention here in the area.

Everyone stay warm and have a great groundhog day.

Morning all. It's a bit chilly and windy here this morning. Did a quick grocery store trip to get some produce and a Starbucks stop.

Penzey's has a ONE DAY sale today 02/02/2021. The $50 gift cards are on sale for $35. Plus 1/4 c. Turkish Oregano and 1/4 c. Cinnamon Sugar are $1 each. If you buy 2 gift cards, you can buy the oregano and c.s. only and get free shipping. :)

Oiy, I have to clean house and put up laundry today. I felt lazy the last few days, so I've done the bare minimum. But for now, I'm off to get my soup going!

((hugs)) to all who need it.

Good morning.

Still snowing here but not too deep, maybe 4 inches. Looked at our informed delivery for USPS and the 2 ads are not worth walking out to get.

I remembered my church meeting last night and learned what the pastor has planned for Lent. Mona. the guest preacher on February 14 is the director of the church camp my family and I are so fond of. I think he is going to talk some about camp.

Not been home since Friday,
My mind fails me, where are you?

Back to watch the snow and try not to eat.

Good Morning everyone. I am enjoying the morning listening to some various sermons on the computer as the only one awake unless you count the one cat that came in the bathroom for a drink when I woke up. She was sitting close to me looking out the window but has now moved over to the door so I better be quick about this so I can go let her out.
I have a UPS delivery of my melaleuca order scheduled for today so I will need to check as to what the delivery window is in a bit. Hopefully we can get to the Y at some point today.
Just checked the weather on my phone and am thinking we might as well enjoy the weather today as while it is 44 with a real feel of 36 right now with a predicted high of 60 it is only supposed to be a high of 40 tomorrow and will keep dropping from there to a high of 3 by the 10th.
Well time to let the cat out though she is taking some time to bath herself between the glares at me. After that I plan to see how much I can get done before getting at least 16 year old up in a couple of hours to go to the Y.

Good Morning! I feel badly saying it's a little cool but the sun is out this morning. Please all of you in snow, especially should you have to shovel, stay safe and take care!

No mailbox mail ever came yesterday, we shall see what happens today. We're also (today) only expecting Amazon (UPS) packages.

Thank you, Carol for that info! :)

Tina, hugs, and continued prayer. You are/will make a difference wherever you choose to be a light.

Good morning all..or probably afternoon now for most of you.

@Kirby so sorry to read about your aunt. I hope she recovers.
@dazedx3 I'm also sorry to read about your sister. Hugs for you.

You two both have so much to deal with right now, I'm thinking of you for peace and comfort.

My mom is still in the hospital and even though its like every day they find something else, she's feeling better. My dad was able to go down to see her yesterday and she was happy about that. No idea when she'll be able to come home yet but just grateful she is feeling better.

Put up a Valentine's banner and a heart wreath i have on the mantle. I also changed the candles out but not sure if I like the regular ones better. What do you think?? Regular candles or red candles...

Everything still looks so bare without the Christmas decorations.

Hugs, AuntieMe3. It's still morning for me! I think the two of us are perhaps part of the very few here on the west coast. I am so glad your Dad did get to visit your Mom. Prayers continued for her. I am not a candle person except at church when as a Deacon lighting the Alter candles or, more so, on Christmas Eve while singing Silent Night! I like the red candles better probably because they are sort of Christmas-y :) I love your heart wreath around the picture so cute!

My mind fails fails me, where are you at

Sunny but cold Florida...actually at this exact moment we are sitting in a quiet corner on second floor of Wilderness Lodge, tucked away in a alcove in front of a fireplace we stumbled upon enjoying a cocktail and discussing a Christmas trip here.
I’ve stayed here twice in past but never noticed the smaller sitting areas w/ fireplaces on upper floors!
We booked 2 nights of R & R at Old Key West, after our quick work trip to west coast of FL, headed home tomorrow,
