I am going for a record number of robocalls today. Hubby has had 3,,2 for 'car warranty' and one saying his application for student loan forgiveness has been accepted, lol. I have had 2 claiming they were Amazon Prime, that my account had been suspended, 1 from the student loan thing, one for car warranty, and 2 claiming they were Social Security and that my account had been suspended. 2 more from 'Visa or Mastercard', and 1 thanking me for being a Hilton Hotel customer (never stayed at a Hilton, lol). I know these are all scammers, but I feel bad for the people who don't know any better, and call these morons back and give them personal information.
My robo calls weren't significant because of numbers but because or origin. The other night about 10 pm I got a call (that I didn't answer) and the caller ID on the phone listed. Mainland China, Changzhou, Jiangsu, China. That is a first for me.

Thanks everyone for the prayers.

I talked with my grandson this afternoon and his wife was up and moving a bit so she finally got to see LJ. His oxygen levels are getting better but he still hasn't regulated his breathing so he will be in the NICU at least til tomorrow. Pease keep the prayers coming that he gets strong enough to go home soon.

I took a needed mental health day and did nothing but work on organizing my ancestry notes and I did buy the faucets for the sink. The company will hold the cabinets for a couple weeks so that was a positive too. The electrician is coming tomorrow to move the outlet so I can get the walls done tomorrow and sunday. At least I am making progress. It's too cold to go out anyway. Never got out of the 20's today.

I am off to bed to read and fall asleep while reading probably. Have a good night

Now that is scary, Goofyernmost that spam calls are coming from that far away! I got another call today that said "Spam Risk." It must have been a different number than previously because the phone rang a few times before I blocked it.

Yikes, Pea! How freezing! I'm sorry!

Much continued prayer for LJ, Taz Dev. I'm glad to hear you took care today, too!

Wishing everyone a warm good night :)

Starting with the most recent and hopefully can move backwards from there over the past couple of days.

Thursday night we lost power about 7:20 PM clue freak out from my special needs 13 year old. She kept trying every single light in the house or at least the ones she could get to in the front room and still see me which was the lamp by my chair, the master bedroom light, and the light over the dinning room table area. I was trying to keep her halfway calm while getting out the latest copy of the bill in order to call and report the outage to REA (Rural Electric Association) which is the larger catagory of how our electric comes as we are on a co-op though in our area you can also choose to go with the privately owned company. 16 year old was great about coming right up as soon as I called her through the floorboards and help keep her sister calm though not much was working-we tried reading a bit in Time Traveler which is one of the history books we use from time to time that was one of 16 year old's favorites when she was younger, tried using the portable dvd player on battery and watching a movie-luckily it was only a little over half an hour that we were out of power thanks to the quick response of the great crew at our electric co-op and the help of the smart meters that they have which alert them to the areas where there is an outage so that they can determine faster if it is a down line in just one direction from the transformer site or if a transformer is down because everyone in all directions from that point has no power. Along with seeing are those in newer developments or even a new build in a more established area that have their lines underground are out in addition to those who are on above ground wires. (My parents who live about 30 yards from me built their house in 74 and are above ground-the wires run across the highway and come in to a pole across the road onto the property. Us kids built our houses in 08-brother, 08-09 mine (was supposed to be done in 08 but due to emergencies that a number of customers who were in their houses had with heaters we had a delay in the installation of the heating and air conditioning systems which ended up delaying the final plumping and electrical thus pushing us back enough to go into early 09, sister was the last one to have a house built and hers was in 12. All of us kids have ours underground). When we end up with an outage that affects us kids it is always at the transformer so it is a case of do we have a comacozi bird or is it a case of yet again some drunk hit the transformer close to the intersecton a mile and a half west of the property.
13 year old seemed to calm down soon after the power came back on so I thought everything was fine. About 9 I went and took a shower. I came back out to the front room and sat down in my chair with my feet up on my stool and worked on my laptop including starting a post here. I ended up falling asleep around 10 in my chair well before DH would get home at the earliest around 1

Good cold morning QUACKERS! 18 degres out there, going to a high of 38, storm watch for tomorrow. Glad that I got groceries yesterday and won't have to fight through the zoo at the stores today. Planning on a quiet weekend, no football, no errands. Will do light cleaning later after I go back to selep for awhile. Didn't fall asleep till after midnite and my body clock woke me at the usual 4:14. Back later to read posts and catch up on everyone on here. Have a nice morning!df2c23f232d34f39a77b9ed74b407fef.png

Part 2.
I ended up waking up around 3:45 AM to see that DH was home he mentioned that 13 year old had her bath and he had gotten her hair washed. She likes to go start the water and take a soak but hates having water anywhere near her face this includes from a shower, poured water from a cup, and even a wet cloth. We have not convienced her to tip her head back so that the water goes down her back and none on her face. She loves to move so far away from us that DH is the only one with the reach and the strength to hold her with one hand and get her hair done with the other so most of the time he makes sure her hair is done-luckily with her hair and the products we use not containing silicon or silicates which are designed to attract dirt and oils so you use them more we can get by doing her hair once a week to every 10 days (anymore than every 5-7 days and her hair actually ends up turning dry and brittle. The only other thing that we do is making sure it is rinsed well after we do any swimming and do a conditioning of her hair as well after swimming to keep it from drying out. Luckily there is a hand held shower station at the Y in the locker room so we can just hit those spots and avoid her face as much as possible. For those wondering we go through 2.5-3 bottles of conditioner for every bottle of shampoo we use on her hair such is the life of keeping a little girls natural curls looking so cute and adorable.
DH and I both let her know that it is time to go to bed. She wanders back to bed and keeps wandering back to the front room. Finally I come out from the bedroom just about ready to lay down the law when I see she looks upset. I take a moment to ask her are you scared of the dark. She gives me a look of I am petrified and signs yes. I tell her that she can sleep out in the front room on the couch and I will sleep in my chair so I am close to her. We end up leaving the kitchen light on for some light and I turn on Klove which is a christian radio station that also broadcasts online (I can set it on my computer and using the mouse to keep it open enough to not have the light glaring at me but it still be on and playing. This is abut 4:30 in the morning. She sits looking at but not really playing on her ipad as well, but I am ok at least she is quiet and will hopefully fall asleep soon which she did. I woke up around 7:45 Friday morning and she was already awake for the day.
We spend the morning getting ready to go in for homeschool bowling league, making breakfast which was going to be sausage, tator tots, and eggs until my 16 year old who was doing breakfast discovered that the eggs we had upstairs were the farm eggs. They are perfectly fine just you have to make sure you crack each one into a smaller dish in case any of them are fertilized-those we just toss out and rinse out the smaller dish before cracking the next egg to add to the larger bowl for fried or scambled eggs or to a recipe. We also got a load of towels washed in order to have some to take with us to the Y which was our plan for after bowling.
We get done with bowling and are back out to parking lot and in the truck a little before 2:30. I ask if the girls want to go to subway and go in and pick up an order or if they want to go through a drivthru somewhere as we are heading to the credit union in order for me to make a payment on the credit card DH and I have from there over a week ahead of when it is due. After learning that I won't be going in because of masks-I can handle wearing one for a short period time if I am sitting down but even walking in one causes the room to start spinning-and they say you don't have reduced oxygen in one, well I say explain then why if I do any physical exertion including walking more than a couple of feet I end up dizzy and have blacked out. (I am just limiting places that I go and do things like take advantage of eating and drinking you can have your mask off while the girls are at bowling). They ok mainly 16 year old decides on drive thru. I check the pool schedule for the Y while we are waiing in line at the credit union-yes I put the truck in park because I do that anyways when waiting a while as I don't care to keep my foot on the break the entire time especially when I don't know if I am behind someone who in normal times would go inside to do their banking but isn't because a lot of lobby services are appointment scheduled so if someone has say a I need to make a deposit to my primary account, pay some on a credit card, pay a vehicle loan, pay a personal loan, and put some money in my christmas savings club account because this is payday it is going to be longer than being behind the person who is I am just depositing or withdrawing some funds into one account or paying one loan or bill.

The schedule for the Y is we can swim until basically 3:30 and it is already 2:30 so even if we were already in the parking lot and starting to cross the street it is not a lot of time to get changed, do a quick rinse off shower and change. We change plans to lets do something to hang around town and then go swim closer to 5 when the pools open up from after school child care swim lessons in the one pool and swim team in the other. I go to an area where there is a row of fast food places and ask if they want Wendy's or Dairy Queen. 16 year old asks if we can stop at Arby's because she wants a French dip.
Stay tuned for how we spend the next couple of hours.

Good morning.

18 here with a high of 36. And like @lynxstch, snow predicted starting tomorrow. Also glad I got groceries Thursday.

DD has a mini photo shoot scheduled for her kids tomorrow. It was in the afternoon and they were coming here for dinner after. Shoot got moved to the morning because of weather so they are coming for dinner tonight. I’ll put an extra leaf in our dining room table so we can sit farther apart while unmasked to eat.

@tazdev3225, I wish I had your motivation. So many rooms need to be repainted but need drywall and retaking the corners first. DH and I can do the painting but need to learn how to tape.

Also glad that LJ is showing improvement.

Born and bred city girl. Fertilized means??
You seem to know just the right things to do with your daughter.

Didn't fall asleep till after midnite and my body clock woke me at the usual 4:14.

I'm not one who can sleep in either. Between my Dowager Countess cats:

and waking up to use the bathroom, I'm up and about pretty early (though I'm grateful it's usually about an hour later than you!) I enjoy not having to talk when I first get up though, so it works out.

Hope you can get a nap in later!

Cats do have an internal alarm clock , don't they? Mine seem to know exactly what time it is for dinner, bed, snacks, laser toy time, etc, lol
I just got in a 2 1/2 nap on the couch. Woke up to find hubby sound asleep in his recliner too, lol!

Sister in law raises chickens for the eggs..pretty sure fertilized means they have embryos of baby chicks already starting in some of them. I have found them a couple of time when she's brought me eggs, lol --Yuck!

Good Morning everyone,

Love the Mickey and Minnie picture, Lynn :)

The sun is out to a cool Saturday here. A Blessing indeed to see some sunshine. I have the first two hour "Signed, Sealed, and
Delivered," set to record this morning. Thank you, PollyannaMom for that recommendation a while back. I will share how I liked it.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone. :grouphug: to everyone who needs one.

We have a HVAC tech coming out today to check our new unit that was just replaced March, not even a year yet. We've been having some insulation and some other stuff blowing out our vents. Hubby thinks the duct work may have come undone at the unit where they had to reconfigure it during the install. Of course now the company that did the work is saying they never touched the ducting and they wouldn't be responsible, even though both hubby and I remember the guy telling us he had to do that to make it work.... he even went to home depot to get extra "stuff" to make it work. We also now have a leak from the roof into our master bathroom from where they put a new platform for the unit. We haven't had much rain to notice until now. Ugh... its soo annoying. If this tech finds something wrong, our homeowners warranty insurance will cover the fix of the ductwork and repair of the roof leak.... if not, hubby will flip his lid and we'll just have to cover the repair ourselves. :sad2::laughing:

@tazdev3225 keeping baby in my thoughts. DD was about the same size and they told me sometimes big babies have a hard time at first.

Mom's still hanging in there but feeling better and will hopefully be able to come home within the next week.

Oh my, I must be losing it today! Posting songs for song threads here lol

A fertilized egg can get to that point though usually is is just a blood string or two which is the start. If they are at the embryo stage you have a high risk of getting your hand and arm mutulated by a mama hen if she is setting unless you are properly attired with a thick or leather coat and leather gloves. A typical hen will only leave her nest for a few minutes at a time even in the warmer summer months and at least my Nana and Granddad's hens would not set on them in the hen house prefering to find a spot to hide from the foxes and cyotes along with curious cats and children. There were many times we had thought that a certain hen had ended being a fox or cyotes dinner only to see her reimerge 26-32 days later with a row of chicks trailing behind her. (there is a range depending on the particular breed of hen as to how long it takes an egg to hatch). We would lock up the ones in the chicken yard in the hen house at night when I stayed with them I would help do this but we did not take a lot of time to look for any stragglers other than doing a quick look around to see if there might be one just outside the barn or a nearby shed that contained wood, or coal.
