Meriweather, I hope your eventual Grand Canyon trip is fun![]()
It will be. I love it there. DD and DGD haven't been....and DD has lived here 2 years longer than I have

- I didn't want the delivery kid to have to come out in the rain so I ordered it early - we can re-heat later!
) and another lady asked his name and what class, handed me a bag, and off we went. Now I need to finish setting it up. I'm waiting for DH...I'm NOT an i-anything person and I'm not tech savvy. I just hope things go smoothly with the instructions they've handed out. When DS was little, and we lived in NV, we took a side trip to the GC, on the way to the AZ Ren Faire. I was all "yep, it's a big hole in the ground. Let's go." Kids were hungry, and we wanted something quick and easy, so stopped at McDonald's for a quick snack for them. I swear, we paid $25+ for a happy meal and 2 cheeseburger meal. It was so expensive there! DH and I snacked on beef jerky and cheese cubes until we got to Phoenix, lol.

I think you (and everyone else) would enjoy checking out San Diego.
We got some rain but no thunder and lightning. A disappointing storm.Stay safe Carol, they are looking nasty-
)Today is fun day for the grand kids, if they are caught up on their work.
DD will bring DGS about 10 for pool time (when it gets cooler, they can start doing other things like parks, but still too hot)
DGD will join after DS takes her for a doctor appointment.
Tomorrow will be Mulan movie day at DS's house (he has the BIG screen). The kids will share the goodies they made then.
Sunday is usual....clean upstairs and do laundry.
Chicken Florentine for dinner tonight.
Expected to be 113 today

Wow your temperatures are insane. When does it start to cool down to 'normal' for you guys?
