Another excessive heat watch

from Friday morning through Monday night. Enough all ready!
If only the weather would cooperate and start feeling like fall, lol. This morning, it was so humid that I was a sweaty mess walking from the front door, down a flight of stairs, and out to my car (about 3 minutes total)...
Ugh....I'm sooo over the heat. It was 95 by 11am this morning. Its supposed to be over 100 over the weekend and I'm so tired of it. I went to a grave side funeral yesterday morning for a family friend at 10am and it was sooo hot already. One of the family members almost passed out, her dad had to car her to their car to run the AC and get some cold water on her face....she ended up throwing up, poor thing.
@flyingdumbo127 I love the Trees of Mystery...we stopped a couple years ago and took the gondola ride up through the trees Ports O Call, we used to go there a lot with my grandparents. We LOVED it. We always got the choice of a toy from one of the shops, an ice cream cone, or some candy from the candy shop. I always picked the knick knack or some kind of toy from one of the shops, my sister always wanted ice cream and my brother would hold out for the candy shop which was our usual last stop. LOL I took my family for the first time not to long ago and it really changed.

Most of the shops were like thrift stores and not the specialty shops they used to be. I was so disappointed.
Actually so many touristy places I like have been mentioned...Lion Country Safari, wow....haven't heard that in awhile. Santa's Village...its not to far up in the mountains from me. They remade it into an adventure park called
Sky Park at Santa's Village with ziplines, mountain bike trails, hiking...they still have some of the building and Santa in the winter but no rides. Another place close to home is
Calico Ghost Town , which was an old west mining town from the late 1880's. Walter Knott who started Knott's purchased it in the 60's and restored the original building. We love going, not in summer of course, since it's in the middle of the desert. LOL They have fun holiday events and do a civil war reenactments every Feb, we really enjoy when we go. Knott's Berry Farm...I love Knott's. Seaport Village in San Diego, which is near the USS Midway....haven't been there but we did go to the USS Yorktown in Charleston, SC a few years ago and it was incredible to see. I LOVE Medieval Times, too. Its so fun for me no matter how many times we go. LOL And of course, Las Vegas is the ultimate tourist destination. We go to Las Vegas ALOT.....hubby gets lots of comps from gambling so we always have "free" rooms. LOL We like to go to
Fremont Street and walk around the different casinos.
@apirateslifeforme we've also done the Titanic and Bodies exhibits, Tournament of Kings, and we really like the fountains at the Bellagio. We usually stay at the Mirage and can see the volcano eruptions every night.
Oh another couple places from our road trips to and from WA,
Tillamook Cheese factory,
Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, and
Lake Shasta Caverns
