@AuntieMe3 , that picture of toilet paper brings back so many memories of went I used to go out and TP houses. So much fun!

I did brave Costco with DH. So crowded, the worst part was at the registers. They have been supposedly fixed so that customers are not near each other but the space to get by a customer to get to your spot so you can socially distance is so narrow. We bought extra ribs so that we wouldn't have to go back anytime soon.

Dinner tonight was pizza. Carol worked up at school today and when she walked out to come home there was a Papa John's delivery guy out front trying to reach one of her coworkers. Come to find out the coworker had put the wrong location on her order, she was an hour and a half away. So the coworker had the delivery guy give Carol her order. We got an all meat pizza, cheesy bread and a 2 liter Dr. Pepper.

I'm a little proud of myself tonight....I grilled burgers for DD and I all by myself, like I even started the grill all by myself. I've never done that before. Hubby usually does the grilling, I've flipped things and taken stuff off but never done the entire thing myself. They came out pretty good too. I made a macaroni salad and we had some chips too. Now I feel a little more confident to use the grill for other stuff. Yay!!

I read the recipe and thought, "I don't have an instant pot so I can't make it." But I guess the oven was an alternate method, not that I have to do both.

@lynxstch Thank you for the cider donut cake recipe you posted. When we lived in Michigan there was a family owned apple orchard nearby. Every fall we'd stop for quarts of cider, apples, and their homemade apple cider donuts. The cake looks very similar to those donuts. I think I'll try to make it Sat. Will be a nice dessert for Kentucky Derby day.

You are most welcome. When I lived in MA we would go to the local orchard every year and pick the apples right off the trees. Then stop in their store for apple cider, apple cider donuts, and maple sugar candy. Great idea about making it for Kentucky Derby day..that's my favorite sports day of the year (even if it is in Sept this year instead of May!)

Bumping so we aren't down at the bottom of page one. Absolutely beautiful here today. 77 , sunny, blue skies, nice breeze. Already finished mowing the entire yard, they are calling for rain again tomorrow. I made it almost a week without having to mow, since I did it last Monday, lol! Have a lovely Sunday everyone, enjoy the weather if you are having it like we are, felt like fall this morning when it was 62 degrees!

Now that sounds good, maple sugar candy, Lynxstch! There was a Boxcar Children book that took place in Canada where the kids got to help with maple sugaring. I am grateful also for cooler weather. I amazingly used my throw blanket last night! It is supposed to warm up later in the week. Happy Sunday to all

70's sound amazing....nights are getting a little cooler and its nice to sit out on the back patio before it starts to get too warm the past couple of mornings but were still HOT during the day. Its already 80 something at 10am....supposed to be mid 90's today.

We decided to cut cable recently so we have a technician coming out tomorrow to undo our cable equipment and update our wifi connection. Didn't realize hubby wasn't coming home this weekend so I've got to move some furniture today so the tech can get where he needs to.

Our extreme heat broke with quite the storm last night.....thunder, lightning, wind and heavy rain.
So normal.......97 today and upper 90s for the next 5 days and then back into the 100s

@flyingdumbo127 We'll be saving over $100 going internet only. We are prime members so have the prime shows/movies on Amazon plus DD already pays for Netflix, Hulu and Disney+. We seem to watch more from the streaming than regular cable, I think I'm the only one that still watched shows from cable on the DVR. I will miss Hallmark movies around the holidays though.

We cut satellite a year ago.
Prime, Netflix, Hulu and Disney +......at least $30 less than our dish was.
