What a beautiful farm you must have!

Thanks! It's teeny-tiny by most standards, including ours when comparing it to other farms in our family, at just 27 acres. But we enjoy it. Our main crop is actually grapes (happy national red wine day!!!), but only 7 acres are vineyard, a fair bit is in a quail rehab program and planted w/ natural habitat for them, the rest we mow.

LOL he's been there and done that. I only use Miracle Whip for my potato salad, devilled eggs, and tomato sandwiches!

We shall do our part to celebrate National Red Wine Day , well I'll have a glass at least. Husband is still under the weather, slight fever this AM. In my capacity of armchair MD I've diagnosed him w/ a bad head cold or a sinus infection. Actually had some sinus stuff in medicine cabinet, so we will see if that helps.

Lucky trip to Costco today, they had everything on my list. I picked up some beautiful asparagus. I think I'll roast some tomorrow.
We need to choose a new great courses subject, it's hubs pick this time. Anything but math...or physics please. Ha!

Dinner will be salmon today, with brownies for dessert.

@Meriweather , I think that your extreme heat has moved here. It's 103 outside, my car registers 106 and it feels like 112 according to the weather man. I think the low will be in the 80's tonight. Tomorrow it's supposed to be even hotter then we get a cool down into the 90's. I don't think that we normally have this warm of weather at this time in August. It's usually end of June, July and early August. We can have 90's though September and into October sometimes. Fortunately after the 1st of September it cools off at night.

Not cooled down yet. 110 right now with a real feel of 113. 83 tonight.....and we are having poor air quality which is driving me crazy with allergies.
Little break over the weekend and then back up....but not as high.

I'm sorry to hear of heat (staying put), traveling, and otherwise! Here it's been cooler for which I'm grateful. Not cold by any means but not 100 either!
