Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Woke up during the night to the sound of rain and thunder in the distance. It was a delight to hear! We had a high of 94 but it feels like 105 outside. We are dropping down to 72 over night so that's good.

We've toyed with cutting out cable but haven't cut the cord yet.

Dinner tonight was oak smoked ribs, Costco mac n cheese and Bush's baked beans.

QOTD : have you been to any of the 61 national parks in the USA?
I've been to Sequoia, Death Valley, Redwoods, Mt Rainer, Olympic, Grand Canyon(both the North Rim 😍 and South Rim), Bryce Canyon and Zion.

Because of this commercial,
we went to Zion and Bryce Canyon and cant wait we can make it to the others.

We hope we can make it to more in the future but we love going back to the ones we have been too.

Not a one, sad to say

Going to be a rainy, coolish (68) degree day here. I should do a lot of housework, but I may just take a personal day and not do any of it, lol!
Have a great Monday, and what I hope will be a better week for everyone!

@Meriweather So cute!

@flyingdumbo127 We'll be saving over $100 going internet only. We are prime members so have the prime shows/movies on Amazon plus DD already pays for Netflix, Hulu and Disney+. We seem to watch more from the streaming than regular cable, I think I'm the only one that still watched shows from cable on the DVR. I will miss Hallmark movies around the holidays though.

Hallmark has a streaming app of their own. I'm not sure how much it costs, but you could do the 7-day free trail around Christmastime for your movie fix:

The only park was The Great Smoky Mountains. I've been to quite a few National Forests.

Grand Canyon
Mesa Verde
Great Sand Dunes
Black Canyon of the Gunnison
Rocky Mountain
Great Basin
Great Smoky Mountains (driving thru)
Badlands
Zion
Bryce Canyon
Canyonlands
Capitol Reef

Sausage and black beans and rice for dinner. I'm still not feeling 100%. I was going to go to BJs this morning, but I am too tired. Tomorrow I'm going to Fresh Market for meats, and maybe Publix if there are any good sales. I'll go to BJs next week when I feel better.

I don't know how I could forget Joshua Tree, we only live an hour or so away. Probably because when we went we weren't that impressed, it looks like my backyard. :confused3  No, its really cool there but the landscape is exactly the same as where I live except there are no houses.

Thank you for this. I knew I thought I had seen something about it but wasn't sure. DD said they have some Hallmark movies on Netflix but I'm sure I've seen all those already. :o
