@Nox I googled Moxi skates because I'm not familiar with them. They come in such cool colors! What a fun way to spend time outside. :flower:

Yeah, they have expanded the line a lot. I considered Pineapple, because yellow is my favorite color, but since I'll be skating outside I need something darker to hide scuffs and dirt. I'll be going with Taffy (dark purple) and I'm going to get lime wheels and lime laces. They're easy to change up with wheels and lace colors for a new look when I get bored.

I technically have an older brother but he disappeared from our lives many years ago after our father passed away. He would do that periodically even when Dad was alive. My brother was spoiled by our mother and he favored his friends above family. The good news is that I am adopted. I found a half sister on my birth father's side through 23 and me. I met her when she was vacationing in my area and we are still in touch. I also have another half sister and half brother who I have not met or talked with yet. I found out alot about my birth father and his life. She has been very open and caring about family and we get along very well. I really enjoy talking with her.

Supper tonight will be tuna wraps and cole slaw. DH mixed up some tuna a couple of nights ago so we are having leftovers tonight.

Grateful for:
Video chat with all grandkids last night. They are the best.

I went into the office today as usual for Thursday and caught up with the lives of 2 of my favorite coworkers. I can't wait until we can all be in the office every day and hopefully the ones who were laid off will be back too.

I still have a job even though hours have been cut and DH is still working at this point. I hope everyone who wants to work gets back to their jobs or finds new jobs in the very near future. Optimism! It is what is keeping me somewhat sane lately. LOL!

Hi all. It's late check in today. Busy day here trying to get things cleaned and organized. It's amazing how two people can let the house get messy and crazy. I made some great breakfast burritos and baked protein muffins. We prepped the boxes for the moms. This evening we went to Costco (yes, we went together call the shopping police) and there was plenty of water and toile paper but no fresh chicken, pork and little beef choices. It was quite sad to say the least and to an extent alarming but I know we have plenty at home so I tried to just push away the bad feeling from it and finished getting the rest of things.

Dinner was Culver's burgers and fries with mini flavor of the day brownie batter. I needed eat my feelings after the Costco shop.

Gratitude today:
1. Blessed to be able to buy what we need.
2. Another day closer to being able to hug family outside this house again.
3. Ice cream. That's big one tonight.

Safe health to all

Question of the day: 4/30: Donuts? What's your choice?

Do you like donuts? Yeast or cake? Glazed? With sprinkles? Our favorite mom and pop donut and bakery opens back up tomorrow. It's cash only business and no tables inside and always long line out the door to pick them up. They have best plain glazed donuts and one the best danish I've ever tasted. What's your favorite?

Cleaning can take a lot of time out of one's life so I feel your pain. On the other hand the smell of a clean house and visuals of an uncluttered space is just a joy:). You are getting your Moms' Day offerings together on time and fantastic for you and the ladies too!

Happy last day of April. One more day closer to hopefully returning to a more normal life.

Rainy, windy day today. Did some chores and laundry and went to a virtual WW meeting. Face-timed with DD and DGD.

Dinner was left overs. Turkey in gravy on rice for me, on bread with mashed potatoes for DH, corn, and cranberry sauce.

I love donuts and haven't found one I don't like. They are my downfall. At Dunkin" I like jelly donuts or brownie batter when available in February. We also have a Duck Donuts, minor east coast chain. You can chose your own toppings. I like "French toast", chocolate with caramel, just about any there. It is down the block from our church so often a Sunday morning stop.

@lovemygoofy Culver's for dinner, yum! They have the best ice cream.
Question of the day-A nice freshly made glazed donut with a coffee is heaven to me.💗

Tonight's dinner was tacos.
It's turning out to be a game show evening here. Jeopardy, Wheel, followed by Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

The weather was beautiful today. Also supposed to be nice again tomorrow. I think we'll go for a little walk in the morning. ☀️

No Culver's here so I Googled. The crinkle cut fries look so good! 🍟

A/C tiny update is the property manager is still waiting to hear from the owner on what he will agree to do. Please continue to pray on this, thank you! It is supposed to be 90 again starting Tuesday :(

Grateful so much today for:

A good night sleep last night
That my Dad got two books from Amazon that he will enjoy reading
Most of all, I echo what you said Tina about being another day closer back to hug those dear to us and go to church, too!

My favorite donut is probably from a local place near church. Chocolate iced. They also have delectable donut holes. I only really like Krispy Kreme when their donuts are HOT early in the morning, so tasty. I used to like powdered sugar donettes but they no longer taste like they once did....too artificial not fresh.

I'm not the biggest fan of donuts. However, I will never turn down the opportunity for a fresh, traditional glazed Krispy Kreme.

Sorry your Costco was like that. I went yesterday and there was more TP and PT than I have ever seen there.
The meat was a limit of 3 fresh......but there was plenty of it all.
And the frozen didn't count in that. I spent more than I ever have there, but was shopping for me and DIL.
Got hamburger, pork chops, steak, frozen chicken, bacon, ham, turkey, salami.....and the all important water balloons to keep the grand kids busy

When I could eat doughnuts.....not anymore. It was Bismark or Apple Fritter.

Dinner tonight was leftover Costco rotisserie chicken, Brussels sprouts, strawberries
Movie day here and we had Taco Bell delivery

I will admit that we both go when we shop. I go because sending him at the best of times, unless I can make a very detailed list and the store has everything, is not a great idea. I cant imagine sending him with a list of stuff meant to last two weeks with the way store shelves are now. And having him pick out produce beyond bananas is just a non starter. He goes in case the line situation is dicey. I am compromised and he is not so if the line situation is bad (long with people not respecting distances) I can leave and he can still pay. We've left if the store seemed too crowded for us to shop at a distance I felt safe.

I dont love donuts. I worked in a bakery when I was younger and the constant access to samples somehow killed my loving them. Now I will still eat them if we end up in the same place and there isnt something else I want more but I dont go out of my way to get them. The one exception is the Brownie Batter filled donuts at Dunkin for Valentines. We always get a dozen to freeze. We will split one every couple of weeks until they are gone. They go particularly well with an aged tequila.
