@Pea-n-Me love the pics. I just went out and bought some Easter basket treats for DD and DH I'm also making a "family" basket full of treats for our best friends family.

We got some not great news about my mom end of last week so I've been a little down. She's having some more testing done this week so hopefully it's a little better news then we're thinking.

I went to a family baby "lunch" for my cousin yesterday. I don't know if you remember I asked for prayers for my cousin who has had many miscarriages and was pregnant again....well she and baby are doing great, she has two weeks to go and everyone is excited for her. It was just my aunts and cousins in the backyard at one of my aunts house. It was nice to see everyone, called my mom while I was there and passed the phone so a couple people could talk to her. She was bummed she couldn't be there.

I have a busy week this week with appointments. Thursday I get my first shot...I'm so excited. Almost everyone at the lunch yesterday has been vaccinated and it was so nice to get together again. We are a close family and usually get together at least once a month and last year we had no gatherings.

The weather is so nice today, really warm. We're coming to our friends house for a backyard BBQ dinner. They've been worrying in their pool this weekend and I can't wait until it's warm enough to go swimming.

Hope you all have a good evening. :grouphug:

I hope your Mom is ok. :flower3: Praying for her. I’m glad about the baby doing well and your getting to see your family.

Good evening.

I read everything and will comment on what I can remember.

No good luck charms here. My college roommate had a pair of earrings, either Tweety Bird or Woodstock, and she wore them facing her ears and said they whispered her the answers to tests.

People talking about meeting their SO, I met DH on a blind date and we've been married 36+ years.

Watched church then went for a pedicure with DD after lunch. It was pouring this morning but had stopped by then. About 6:30 it got dark with storm clouds, windy, and poured. We have wind warnings too.

I made steamed shrimp, salad, and baked potato for dinner. Had an hour before TV I wanted to watch came on so watched some of The Lion King on Freeform. So nice to hear those songs again. Now watching Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and checking women's basketball scores and will watch the second half of the game at 10.

See you all in the morning.

I've never seen Sense and Sensibility but I love the song. Thanks for the link!

No good luck charms in my home that I know of.

Pea-n-Me, your Easter baskets are just right. They look like something I would have done. Even though DD has picked up stuff for Lil Joe and Lou Lou, I have bought each of them a book, a kite, a chocolate rabbit and a Snackeez, https://www.snackeez.com/. Every time Lil Joe sees this advertised on tv he yells for me to come look and says "Maw Maw, you can eat and drink all at the same time! I want one!". Well, he and Lou Lou are getting one.

Today was another beautiful day. A little cooler than yesterday, high of 72. DS came over and spent part of the day with us. I went through my mother's desk and found my dad's funeral bulletin plus the officiant's notes for his service. It was good to read and brought back memories. I wish we could have had a funeral like his for my mom.

I also went through some bins of Christmas decorations that I had set aside several years ago. I had wanted to go through them with my kids to see if there was anything in them that they wanted but they went ahead and did on their own a couple of months ago. I can't remember where I was or why I wasn't there but I was very disappointed to not be able to go through them with them. Lots of memories stored in those bins but it's been years since I have touched a lot of it so it was time to let it go. It would have been nice to go down memory lane with them but they did keep a couple of things so it's all good.

DD and I are keeping up with American Idol this season. A local boy that she was in band with in high school, Graham DeFranco, is in the top 24. She remembers him singing a lot in band, says his quirkiness isn't showing through on the show.

I'm so looking forward to going to church next Sunday for Easter. It will be the first time in over a year that we have attended church. They are having an outdoor service in back of the church. I really miss it.

Ooh I love the snackeez! I’ve seen those somewhere before, it’s a great idea! Too cute that Lil Joe wants one! He’ll be so happy when he sees it!! :lovestruc Give Sense and Sensibility a try!

Good Monday morning all. The wind advisory is gone here, but it's still very windy out. It certainly was howling at 9 pm last nite. The motion lights outside kept going on and off. We watched American Idol last nite, there are some very good singers this year, it continues tonight as they pick the top 24. Today is cleaning day, may try and get a pizza for dinner if hubby is feeling up to it. I don't know if he plans to call his PCP today or not, leg isn't as red, but it is still a bit swollen :( Off to lay down for another hour, still catching up on sleep from last week.

Our oldest grandson turns 21 today, man, does time fly fast!
Have a nice morning.

Everyone but PollyannaMom and I must be sleeping in this morning? lol! I have vacuumed the house, cleaned the kitchen, washed the floor, done laundry, and washed the kitchen rugs. Off to find something else to get crossed off my to do list. 9d3665c9d96770e11ec0408a605af104.jpg

Gratitude for yesterday:
  • Got through almost my whole chore list (one quick thing to do before I leave this morning.)
  • Second recipe tried in the air fryer (chicken nuggets this time) came out yummy.
  • A new episode of Zoey's in the DVR to watch with DH this week.

Good morning.

Sunny and cool but not cold, still a little windy.

Started laundry, sent some church emails, and met my church friend to hand off a key. Church made "cheer bags" for Easter for shut ins so I have 4 of them to deliver. May try to get to at least two today.

@Kirby, I've never seen those Snackeez but they look cool.

I feel that way too. We are having an outdoor 8am service on Easter. Our building in right on Main Street in Newark, DE, a college town. Not a lot of land so it will be in the parking lot and we have to park in the local municipal lots. There is a sign up sheet to limit capacity and I signed us up this morning when it opened. I did go to a parking lot, in car, service on Ash Wednesday. They are doing a service, first one, in the sanctuary for Holy Thursday. Did not sign up as don't know funeral plans yet. Ours is a large church with 3 services on Sunday so hard to limit capacity fairly.

A new episode of Zoey's in the DVR to watch with DH this week.
I watched last night. I enjoy that show too.

Also watched my Maryland women lose their basketball game. It was a close, tense ending.

Off to get on with the day.

Good Morning friends 🐣

I've enjoyed catching up on the new posts :) Yay that some of you will get to attend Easter Sunday service at your church. Outside church is still being there :) I look forward to being able to go back to church myself. Carol, I love the simple, reverent banners in your church Sanctuary and as always so enjoyed listening to worship.

It's warm in here! Last night, I took the comforter off my bed and replaced it with my blanket. Amazing Blessing. The warmer weather is supposed to continue most of the week, most welcome and lovely change.

Prayers always for healing and general feeling better to all in need.

Have a good Monday! :)

Good morning all....I have a Drs appt I about an hour or so. All morning I was trying to avoid eating anything in case she wants me to go to the lab(which she'll probably for sure want me to do now...lol) Anyway, in the kitchen getting the dogs their food, I started eating a banana. :sad2: So now I'll probably have to go back tomorrow for lab work. Geez.

People talking about meeting their SO, I met DH on a blind date and we've been married 36+ years.
I must've missed talking about meeting out SO's...I met DH at a bar :o It was really my first time in a bar as I had just turned 21 a few months before and didn't go out a lot. We got to talking and that was it :lovestruc....we actually got married only 5 months later. :o This year, it will 24 years. I picked a good one. :lovestruc

Too cute. Those are soo cool. Now I want one too.
DD and I are keeping up with American Idol this season.
I haven't watched in years but someone local is on this year so our local FB always has someone posting clips of his performances. His name is Chayce.

The wind advisory is gone here, but it's still very windy out.
OMG....it was so windy here last week. I went to the store and had to physically hold onto the cart while I was unloading into the car and then the bags were whipping around I thought for sure one was going to fly out of my hand. After I put the cart in the holder thingy, I could barely get my truck door closed, the wind was soo strong keeping it open. My hair was soo tangled when I got home. We're used to wind in the desert but I don't think it's been that windy in a long time.

Second recipe tried in the air fryer (chicken nuggets this time) came out yummy.
I love my air fryer I'm so glad I bought it. I've only done bacon, vegetables and then frozen things like egg rolls and jalapeno poppers....I need to try some other recipes.

It's was beautiful yesterday. We sat outside at our friends house and had dinner....it was so warm. Then last night DH, who is always cold, wanted to know if the heater was on because he was roasting. I told him it's almost time to switch out our blankets....we have a down comforter in the winter and a thin quilt for summer. I can't wait for warm weather...not HOT....just warm.

Gratitudes:
*Hoppy, an older gentleman who stands on the corner of a Main Road in town and waves and smiles at everyone who passes. I can’t help but wave back. He has been doing this so long he has a sign there.
*Got 3 of my 4 cheer bags delivered.
*Both baptism gifts have arrived from Etsy and I am very happy with them. Here are some pictures of the wooden blocks and the compass.

I was at Disneyland yesterday!!!!🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵🌈🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵

I have two days of cable tv left ( left over from cabin renter) so been binge watching. There is this really neat LA news station that shows car chases, ethnic festivals, what has been happening around LA ...just fun to watch. Well, the weather woman said that Disneyland was the hottest place in the nation on Monday.....then she came back 20 mins later and said Disneyland tied with the hottest place in the nation......yep...my back porch ....where I had been watching TV all day!!!

gotta take Disney gratitude anyway I can....Like this morning shooting roadrunners on my walk....just loved those Buena Vista films we saw in elementary school in the 60s....but I just can't manipulate the video on my phone fast enough....so they are all still shots, to go with snake track file this morning that I also photographed

Hello all,
I hope everyone is feeling well and enjoying some milder weather.

We are back from our trip to see our new granddaughter. She is a very easy baby so far. It was fun to watch how much she changed each day we were there. Our other GD, 2 1/2 was so much fun. She is a constant talker, narrates everything, and you better be listening. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

DH has labs and scans today, I will be stressed until the results come back. It is nerve wracking wondering if the cancer will come back.

This week, our DD and her boyfriend, are going to Arizona. His Dad is on hospice and not doing well. We will be watching their two very large dogs along with our dog. It will be a full house!
