Good chilly morning all. At 42 it feels a lot cooler than it has the last few days. We will be going to 73 today though. No plans for the day, maybe I can get hubby to sit outside on the porch for awhile, if he feels any better. We were both in bed by 9:30 last nite, and he only got up at 1:30 am for 2 hours and then came back to bed. I need to do laundry and change the bed sheets at the very least. Hoping the grass stays low enough for at least another week before I have to start dealing with that. I am going back to sleep for an hour or so,,have a bit of a headache.
Have a nice morning all

Good morning all -

18 hours post second shot and we are both feeling just fine - sore arms for both of us, but other than that, no issues! So far, so good. Dogs even let us sleep in until 6:30 which is late for them! Husband is out listening for turkeys and I'm contemplating what chores to tackle today.

Cali will officially be up for adoption any day now, I filled out all the forms/info for her and so the organization will get her up on site soon. Whole process will probably take about 2 weeks between getting applications in, processed and then a adoptive family selected. Then references checked and finally a home visit to the prospective new family before they finally come to pick her up. She has rebounded from her spay surgery like a champ - as if nothing happened- which always makes it harder to keep them chilled out and not jumping around as much.

Have a good day everyone -

It is cold today *brrr*, it's very sunny, but it's extremeley windy.

In such a mood today :( all this talking about vaccines, originally we're not supposed to get one until after summer, since none of us are in the vulnirable groups, and it looks more and more like it, we are not allowed to do anything until we get one.
We were supposed to go to my parents for Easter, for 2 weeks, leaving tomorrow, and I'm so upset that it's the 3rd trip we were supposed to go since last year.
They live overseas, and I am missing home like crazy. I live in England now for 2 years, as my boyfriend is British, but meh, it's not going great at all, so knowing I was supposed to be home for 2 weeks, is so hurtfull :(
And I might not be able to go untill 2022 even, depending on how vaccinations go + how things are back home, as the UK will start going out of lockdown 3 soon, my parents have just entered their 3rd lockdown a few days ago.

Sorry, bit of a low point today.
It also didn't help, that last night we watched the very last episodes of "Call me Kat" and "Superstore", I cried so much at the ending of Superstore, haha, it was so nice ❤

Sorry you are feeling sad about missing your home and not being able to go home for Easter. :grouphug:
We were glad they wrapped up the Superstore show and didn't just leave it hanging..the end was rather sad.

Hubby woke at 7, and said he feels much better. :) His temp is normal and his leg is nowhere near as red as it was. He was hungry for breakfast. I cooked up 2 lbs of sausage, made 1/2 into patties, and 1/2 into sausage gravy and froze both. Made him waffles, eggs and sausage for breakfast. I have been so worried about him the last few days, that I even forgot that today is our 'pickled egg day'. That's how we met online, when he asked me for a recipe for them. That was 22 years ago today. He remembered and he never does, lol. So I just made up a batch of pickled eggs. I have also stripped and remade the bed, washed the other sheets and have them hanging on the line in the sun. Have the bedspread in the washer now. And did all the dishes from all the cooking I did. Took some steaks out of the freezer for dinner tonite, and now I am going to sit and do nothing for a little bit.

Awww, you met over a pickled egg? That's cute, hehe ^^ (I hate the things, lol)

Good his leg is getting better! Mmmm steak ... haven't had one since I've been in the UK, I used to only buy them from my local butchers when they did "buy 1 kg get 1 kg free" I'd had like 10-15 steaks in freezer.

Chicken burgers here tonight with fries, yum!

That is precious!! DH and I have what we call or "real anniversary" as well. It's in February, and represents the day that we magically went from being friends to being a couple. One Sunday in college, my "nextdorm neighbor" and I had declared at breakfast that we just needed a day off and were going to drive to my house (about an hour and a half) to bum a real meal,* if anyone wanted to come with us. DH did, and things just "changed" on the way back to campus.

I had a student council meeting to rush off to when we got back, and DH told me years later that he called his best friend while I was there and told him I was the one.

(*As it turns out, my parents weren't even home that day, but my grandma took excellent care of us!)

Good Morning, everyone!

It's brrr here as well but supposed to warm up later :)

Thank God for shares of more rest and feeling better too, including, of course, dog family :dog2: members. Also grateful you are doing okay, Easyas, after dose 2.

Prayers and hug, Moorhunhe.

Are any of you going to record "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" tonight? It doesn't grab me off the bat yet it's a "new" option to check out. What do you think?

Take care, friends and have a great Saturday!

That one didn't spark me to hit record either, but I did watch the first half of the waterfall one this morning, and really like it so far! Some of the scenery remind me of Watkins Glen State Park - one of my favorite places to hike. :goodvibes I'll probably watch the rest tonight or tomorrow morning.

Good afternoon.

Beautiful day here today. 66 and sunny with no wind. DH and I had timed admission at 10:30 at Longwood Gardens, and so did DD and her family. Just as we got there, DH got a text from his sister that Jerry had passed. So DH called her offering to come and she said yes. Luckily her home is not terribly far from Longwood. So DH left me at the gardens with DD with plans for them to bring me home crammed in the backseat of a Corolla between two car seats. We had a nice day at the gardens and then DH was able to get back about the time we planned to eat our picnic in the grass by the car in the parking lot. His sister's daughter had arrived and things had settled a little so he was able to leave.

Now we are home and may go to Fair Hill because it is so nice.

So very sorry to hear that Jerry passed. I hope it was peacefully. Will continue sending prayers to all of you

It is 73 degrees here. Just now starting to cloud over. I cleaned out the wood shed, got the grill out of there and to the back of the house for the summer. Took the plastic off the inside of the doors,,it's warm enough now for the outdoor cats to be in their boxes without it at night, and I don't think we are going to get anymore snow. The grass is growing like crazy. When I was outside, our neighbor came over holding an elbow from a gutter downspout. I wondered why..she said our son hit yours driving his little 4x4 yesterday, it's on the back corner of the shed so I hadn't noticed it. She said we got a new one for you, would you like Micah (her hubby) to come over and put it on. I said yes, because when he hit it, he also knocked the end cap at the top loose, and I couldn't reach it. So he came over and fixed it totally, and told me anytime I need help with something outside,,to feel free to ask. They have lived here for almost 2 years..and they never even wave hello, he might have talked to me 2x while outside with their dog..her,,never. lol.

Off to do a beauty treatment, then to grill some steaks for dinner..he just has to decide what he wants with them. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Yay that the movie brought back good memories for you, PollyannaMom! :) I will probably pass on recording tonight's movie, too.

Hug and condolences, Carol. I also pray Jerry's passing was peaceful and sending extra prayers for you and your family as well.

Enjoy your beauty treatment time and dinner, too, Lynn!

Carol, so sorry to hear of your BIL's passing. Your DH is so kind to be with his sister.

It is warm here today, around 60 and sunny. We saw older DS's boys today and played in the backyard. Tomorrow younger DS and the 3 grandkids are coming over for a visit. He and DDIL should be eligible for the vaccine starting May 1. I can't wait until we are all vaccinated and can all get together at the same time.

I have been watching Hallmark movies here and there. There is one actress, Rachel Boston, who is in a few movies. I find I usually like those movies. In a couple of weeks there will be one called Luck of the Irish. At least I think that is the name. The main actress played Reba's oldest daughter Cheyenne in the sitcom. She was also one of the wives in Astronaut's Wives Club. I like her and hope the movie is good.

Have a nice Saturday evening.

Thread is already half way down the page!

Snowysmom, hooray that you got to see some of your grandsons and will see the others tomorrow :)

Saturday extra gratitude:
Lots of kind PM's
Being able to place an Amazon order that will contain gifts to both my Dad and I
Talking with a couple friends yesterday on the phone who I hadn't spoken with in a while. Good to catch up

Your husband is a good brother, I'm sorry for the loss your family has suffered.

grill some steaks for dinner.

Husband is grilling some venison steaks and a bit of chicken w/ peppers & onions...kind of a small packages in the freezer clean out sort of night!

Have a nice Saturday evening.

You, too!

Whew - got a ton done today!
First off - we are give or take about 30 hour post second shot and feeling...just fine! My stomach felt a little off earlier, but ok now. And our shoulders are sore - but honestly we are feeling good! A bit tired but we did a lot of physical work today. I did some house work then painted the new gates husband is putting on the porch, then I headed out to mow the big fields/quail habitat. That itself took a few hours. Then at 5 we drove over to meet son & girlfriend at new house property and walked around and checked things out. The came home and took pups for a walk down to the dock so husband could clean some fish he caught... about to eat a late supper and call it a day! Nothing on the agenda tomorrow except meeting youngest & his new lady friend for lunch on Kent Island.

Good evening all -
