A ray of hope, the one last package I was waiting for, that was in the Baltimore Post Office since 12/3, ARRIVED.

DH has a cold, so to err on the side of caution before Christmas, we went for COVID tests again today. This time at Frawley Stadium. We were right where Biden had his victory celebration. Huge crowd but very well organized. We were planning to get tested again before Christmas anyway.

Texting between both kids and trying to see if we can get together outside sometime at Christmas. Going to be cold. They both have to plan with in-laws too. DD's FIL works 12/26 and DS works 12/25 and 12/26 but it off Sunday and Monday.

So glad we saw the start last night because it is very cloudy today.

I may or may not be sitting in the car, seat heat on, FINALLY trying one of those CFA peppermint milkshakes and taking g a little break from the office! I can not recall last time I had a milkshake...

I finished watching Swept Up by Christmas and came to really like it much more than I had thought. Carol, and anyone else, did you like Cross Country Christmas? I have set to to record tonight. I have Project Christmas Wish already recorded. Anyone see that? I will really miss Christmas movies! I hope the Hallmark Channels do show some good movies throughout the year.

ETA: Has anyone seen A Christmas Wish? I missed recording it this morning. It's about a wooden wishing box that's placed in the center of a small town? I'll have to check to see whether it will air again.

I just watched My Christmas Love. It was on Lifetime but a Hallmark movie. I didn't think the main female was likeable and deserving of the nice guy. But, at the end, I liked who had sent the gifts, it was not what I expected. And I liked the dad and bride and groom at the reception.

Still no package delivered today and it was our normal mailman. There was an update that it left the Phila. Distribution Center so there is hope. It will be a Christmas miracle if it comes by Thursday.

The ear is clear so that was good news. A new antibiotic drop and I go back in 2 weeks for a follow up. The mixed news, bad for me but great for my family, is I failed my hearing test badly. I am breaking down and getting hearing aids. My kids all clapped and jumped up and down with glee. I knew I had an issue but didn't realize how bad it is. I have close to a 70% loss in my right ear. The dr. said once this infection clears up it could get better but not by much. I decided it's time. I want to hear my grandsons when they talk to me and I realized I miss so much of what they say. I really want to be able to hear the new baby so after the new year I will hear again.

To be fair I also said I balanced Disney or hearing and Disney always won. Plus I could claim my kids never told me something because I didn't hear it. Oh well there is a whole new world out there for me to hear again.

I get to watch one more episode of Below Deck and my husband will be stealing the TV away. There is football again. I can't wait for February. He doesn't watch basketball.

I watched Christmas She Wrote yesterday..I didn't care for the guy she ended up with, I kept expecting her to end up with her lost love (who was MUCH cuter, btw). Still working my way down the list. I have deleted a couple of them, as the first few minutes weren't what I expected.
Homemade meatball subs for dinner tonite, sun was out earlier, so hoping the clouds stay away long enough to glimpse the Christmas Star. I think they said we should be able to see it most of the week?

It was good- but filling for sure! Glad I tried it while it was around.

My late afternoon appointment is running late- no one’s fault exactly, just working out that way- I’m 45 minutes from home and going to be at least 615 before I head home.
I’m tired, back hurts and can’t get home soon enough! I guess I better text husband and let him know dinner prep is on him.

I must admit, I’m not familiar with any of these lifetime or hallmark movies. I’ve slacked a lot this season, I haven’t even seen Christmas Vacation or Muppets Christmas Carol or HomeAlone 2 yet! I gotta get busy

Sounds like a lot us are having a rough time as the year comes to a close. 2020 has definitely sucked in a lot of ways but I am truly thankful we are feeling better and recovered. Especially finding out my dads cousin and a friends mom passed away this weekend both from Covid complications. We are truly blessed to only have had minor symptoms and are doing well now.

We are officially off quarantine and finally getting some Christmas stuff done, I am exhausted. I've heard many people that have recovered say how tired they are after and OMGosh its really true. Just glad I have the next couple weeks off work for winter break so I can just relax after I get all the Christmas stuff done. I have everything bought so far on the dining room table to start wrapping, not worrying about anything else until after Christmas...like for my brother's family who don't mind getting Christmas gifts late and for my friends who I won't be exchanging gifts with until after Christmas too. All the food is bought for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day so I just need to do some baking and still need run to Target sometime for a few stocking stuffers...and no big deal if that doesn't happen either. I've got a few things I can put in there so they won't be empty. LOL

Hubby and I saw Saturn and Jupiter last night seperate by still close. So I'm looking forward to seeing them together(or closer) tonight.

I've been super snappy with hubby the last couple days and I've realized its because we've been together stuck in the house for the last couple weeks and its really getting to me. Love my husband to death but he's ALOT...he talks alot, he's loud and kinda needy so he constantly needs to be right next to me yapping my ear off when I just want to be by myself in silence for like a minute. LOL I finally snapped at him this morning and asked of if he ever stops talking....of course, then I felt bad and he was giving me a guilt trip and not talking even when I asked him a question. Argh....lol I did a 15 minute duided meditation and felt a little better after that. Maybe I will run to Target tonight when he gets ready for bed so I can just get some alone time. LOL I know I sound like a horrible person but yikes...its been really getting to me. Sometimes its hard being an introvert married to an extreme extrovert who can't escape to visit friends.

A Price is Right FYI for Christmas Day, it'll be a repeat of a 2018 episode. I know some of you, like me, were taken aback by the "new" (no audience) format during the plague. I have not watched. I was glad to see at least one older episode will be on.

HM&M question: During the regular year do they also (like Hallmark) show movies or just during Christmas season? I've seen commercials for creepy mysteries in January but not no movies. I do know Hallmark Channel shows movies

I was glad we saw what we did last night because we didn't see them tonight.

Now you all have me wanting another milkshake and I just had one Friday.

DH needed to give DD eye compresses for a sty so we met in Chesapeake City at 6 and walked around with her and the kids and looked at the lights. DGD really liked them. Even cold, it was nice to just walk a little.

TazDev, I feel for you! While I have different problems with my ears than you I know what it's like to have something start up later in life. I get fluid buildup in my inner ear due to allergies which causes vertigo. No fun at all. My seasonal allergies have gotten worse as I've gotten older.

Update on my mom, she was moved to another room today for a two week quarantine. We are hoping that this is to make sure she is over Covid and can move back to her room. Not sure if we will be able to go see her then since her side of the facility is closed to visitors due to a high number of Covid cases. I just feel that no news is good news.
