Taz Good thoughts and prayers for your DD and DGS.

Pea I like your analysis of your retirement wishes. I hope you get to do all that you want when the time comes. I will spend 2024 mulling over my options. I am thinking I may do temp work for a bit.

@flyingdumbo127 Glad your feet are doing better. So nice!

Good morning. We are expecting a snow storm this weekend. I am not ready and never will be. I am fortunate that the plowing and shoveling will be done for me. I do have to be sure the vent pipe from the water heater is not covered in snow as it is closer to the ground than it should be per the inspector. Plus I will shovel off the deck. I am not one to have to be inside for a day so that will be a challenge for me. Plus I probably won't be able to see anyone this weekend. I do have a haircut Saturday. Looking forward to chatting with my hairdresser. I will be picking up the kids at the bus today so at least I will have time with them and Kenny.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Good earlier morning dear friends:grouphug:No snow, of course, here. It sure is chilly and rainy. Snowysmom, PollyannaMom, and all of dear you, smiling to imagine today being a cozy Quaxker day. I would love to spend it with all of you :)

Grace of God, I got more sleep last night. Feet are doing better now than late last night too. How blessed I am. Thank you all always for your extra love and prayer.

Be cozy and please stay wam and well. Have a great Wednesday. I will check back later :)

Good morning.

We have snow expected for Saturday, 1-3 inches. I just don't like winter so I'm not looking forward to this.

Mia had tubes put in her ears yesterday, everything went fine. Hopefully she won't have to deal with the ear infections like she had. My sister has her knee replacement surgery in a couple of hours. I'm on dog duty today after work, just running over there to feed them and let them out.

Didn't do anything for NYE or NYD. I tried to stay awake for midnight but fell asleep around 11:30. I did watch some of the YouTube videos of the NYE celebration in Epcot. That looks like a lot of fun as long as you can handle loud music and crowds. We were at MK on NYE for our honeymoon. I just remember it being soooooo crowded during the fireworks and trying to leave. I said that I would never do that again.

Made my list over the weekend of my "must do" rides and me "try to do" rides, along with the snacks I want to try and where they're located. I head down to MK in 2 weeks, getting more excited!

Back to work, have a great day!

Good morning.

Sunny and 45 here today, but we're on storm watch like some of you. 5-8" Saturday, another 3-5 overnight, then on Tuesday another 3-5". I wouldn't mind it if I wasn't the one who had to clear it. I'll put the cover on the car on Friday and see what happens. I'll probably regret not getting a snow blower, but I have no place to keep it anymore where it would be out of the elements when not being used. I do have an electric snow shovel, but that's not much easier on my back than shoveling is. I'll just take my time and do a little at a time.
I'm going to call Dave and ask him if we get a lot, if he'll bring his truck and clear it out for me. I don't want to be stuck in the house for days waiting for it to melt. And I have to clear paths for the outside cats to get to and from the sheds and under the front porch too.

I wondered why I never heard back from Luke last night. He just texted that he just now realized the last text he sent me never went through. We're going to do lunch.
Going to put a load of laundry in and figure out something for dinner.

Have a great day

Found us on page 2, that's not allowed. It's sunny and 42.

Luke and I had a nice lunch out. We went to the Hummingbird Cafe out by the airport. We ate and talked for almost 2 hours. He got out some things he'd been holding in about feeling guilty. I let him talk without saying anything, there wasn't much I could say.

He , Marcella, the girls, and Ben are going on a cruise in April. Flying to Texas then then cruising to Cozumel, Belize, and Costa Maya. If I ever take a cruise, I want it to be a Disney one.

He stayed at his mothers last night, and she accidentally told Summer he was there. Fortunately she had doctors appointments today and couldn't come to lunch with us.

He asked if there was anything I needed help with before he leaves later this afternoon, but I was good. It was nice of him to ask.

I only hate half of my lunch, but did manage to eat a whole piece of Hummingbird Cake for dessert, lol. I'll have the other half of my chicken parm for dinner tonight.

Have a good rest of the afternoon and evening.

Glad the two of you had a nice lunch.

Back to your snow post, are there any kids that come around to shovel snow? I had some come by last year and took them up on their services. Depending on how much we get or how my hip is feeling, I'll pay some kids to do it this weekend if they stop by.
No, there are no kids around here except for younger ones like 6-7-8. Last year some guy came and plowed it, and I didn't even know who he was. He saw me shoveling and told me to move and he did it for me.

Happy Thursday.:cold:

My sister's knee replacement surgery went well yesterday. Surgery was over sooner than expected and she came home yesterday. 🦿

Had Chipotle for dinner but I did make a grocery list off of some recipes so I'm going to try to start making dinner. When I was over my sister's house the other night she opened her refridgerator and I noticed how full it was, then I opened mine when I got home and noticed mine only has cat food, milk, sour cream, cream cheese and lemons in there. I just don't eat at home.🍋

Watched Price is Right and Raid the Cage last night. I needed something other than NCIS to watch. I did pick up a book that I had on hold at the library 📚. I start reading that Saturday while I'm at work, hopefully we won't be busy.

Mitchell came over and took my Xmas tree down to the basement, went out in the shed and got my snow shovel, and fixed my car. Last year I decided not to take the tree apart and just keep it up in the basement 🌲. It's supposed to snow on Saturday so I wanted to be prepared, the salt for the driveway is already on my front porch ❄️. I have an appointment to get my car repaired tomorrow but he said the part that was bad was what he fixed last time and it should still be under warranty so that was fixed for free.🚗

That about sums my day up so back to work I go. Have a great day!

Good morning. It's gray and cloudy, 37 going up 1 whole degree. They're still saying we're 100% getting snow on Saturday, I hope it's just the 5-8" they're saying. I can handle that much. I'm getting out of here and hitting the grocery store and doing errands in a few minutes.

I watched the premiere of The Floor last night. Interesting concept for a show, and I like Rob Lowe, so I may keep watching it. Some new episodes of other shows start back up again next week, finally.
My friend and I are also watching Handmaid's tale on Hulu together, trying to get through 2 episodes a night so we can talk about it. It's not at all what I thought it was going to be, and a bit strange, but I'll give it a shot anyhow.
@footballmouse I'm glad your sisters knee replacement went well, hoping she has an easy recovery. One of my sister in laws has to have both knees replaced (the same one who just had a hip replacement this past summer.)

Have a great morning

I also watched Price is Right! Haven't watched it in years! I did like how Drew helped the girl saying 'turn it to the right' and when she still fumbled with it he moved in and turned it to right for a big win for her.

If I can make some space in my basement, I may store the new tree undecorated. Somehow I think folding and squishing back into the box is what caused my previous prelit to fail. Basement has a finished section but is only used for utilities, laundry and storage. I'm visualizing saran wrapping it top to bottom to keep it dust and cobweb free, lol.

Ok - so I have just decided to put two decorative trees (didn't put the fake tree up this year but if I did I'd include it) in the corner of a storage area with the hot water heater and electrical panels and what not! I have a king set sheet I'm replacing so the old ones will be turned into covers for the trees

I watched that the other night, also enjoyed it. How can you not like a show when Rob Lowe is the host 😉. I agree, finally, new episodes of shows starting soon.👏

I throw a couple of fitted sheets over mine.

Good Morning:grouphug:

Praise indeed extra to God dear Footballmouse. I am very thankful to hear your sister's surgery is over. Healing prayers for her indeed. Glad you and other Quackers watched The Price is Right. Dad and I had been DVRing it daily. with all going on with my feet, I am pretty much spending my days here at our kitchen table. God willing next month, I can enjoy the show again. That was very nice of Drew to do! God willing one day, it might be fun to attend a taping of TPIR again :) Be cozy dear friends and have a good day. Love always.

@footballmouse Best wishes for your sister and her knee replacement. It does make things alot better once the recovery is complete.

I have not watched the weather today. Last night Kenny had the news on so I did watch the weather. My area seems to be in the target zone of alot of dry powdery snow, 5-10 inches. I need to be sure the exhaust pipe from the water heater is clear and clean off the deck. I also noticed that over the next 10 days it is off and on snow showers with an inch here and inch there. I have plans to have lunch with Jeff next weekend and I so want to talk with him. No snow please! He and Aimee booked a Disney trip for August to celebrate their 10th anniversary which is in Sept. They are staying at the Contemporary, theme park view for 2 nights. They got a good deal. Her parents will take care of the kids. There are 2 of them as well as Aimee's sister. Kenny and I get back from our cruise the day they fly out.

I was in the office today. The drive in was not too bad and I wish it were always like that. I wonder if alot of people are working from home with all the illnesses going around. Whatever the reason, I liked not being crazed on Route 3. The ride back to the condo was not bad either. I did talk with a coworker today to see if she thought anything strange is going on at work. She has not heard anything. She did say our boss has been lamenting that she does not have time to really help us or answer questions etc as she is just too busy. So, that is why you hire that full time person you have budgeted for. It is not rocket science. Next week I start working 7 hours a day and have to throw in an unpaid lunch period of 30 minutes. I will see how it goes. IF she does not have time now how is she going to show me the tasks she wants me to take over. On the plus side working more will pay for my December trip to Disney. I went to Market Basket for a few things and ended up with alot of things. Never go shopping when you are hungry. I ended up with a few extras like popcorn, an extra salad, and a small loaf of whole wheat french bread. I did bypass the sweets which was good.

Have a good day.
