Looking forward to that, taz! Glad you had a nice trip, and sorry about your knee.
Lynn I don‘t think I’ve ever seen a pink sun like that before. Beautiful! Nice of you to share.
Snowysmom, I love the condo! (? Townhouse) It looks really beautiful so far. So exciting! And great job with the colors! It’s almost exactly the same as what DD has picked out for renovating our in law apt! It will be so nice when you’re settled in. Seems like it’s moving along.
Retirement party was fun. Lots of people. Got some nice family pictures, and always good to see everyone. Afterward DD, DH and I (DS was coaching today, was sad he wasn’t in the pictures) did some antique browsing (bought one thing, an American flag table runner for that console table in front of our TV to hide the dust, lol) and then hit the grocery store on the way home.
We were a little upset outside in the grocery store parking lot. An elderly man pulled up next to us and had a small dog he was leaving in the car. It was 85 degrees out. He had the windows halfway down. When he left the dog was trying to bark but was having problems himself, seemed elderly, too. We debated what to do. DH wound up going up to him in the store and telling him he was concerned about his dog. He kind of blew him off, saying he’d only be in the store for a few minutes and he had the windows open. DH tried to say that it can get to over 100 degrees in just a few minutes OR someone could steal the dog, but he was very hard of hearing and it didn’t seem to really sink in. He did thank DH for his concern. He was in the store for about 15 mins and got just a few things. We actually let him go in front of us at check out to get him out of the store quicker. DH told him he should leave the dog home in this kind of weather. Something tells me he won’t. I really did not want to call the police. The dog was ok. But it upset us quite a bit thinking of how many dogs lose their lives that way. (We would not have let that happen.)
Tonight we watched a couple of movies on Netflix, Murder Mystery 1 and 2. Pretty funny, we had some laughs.
Wishing everyone a good Saturday!
