Had my latest Covid booster and flu shot this morning (targeted before our upcoming Florida trip) so I'm taking it easy this afternoon. I put a pot roast in the crock pot before I left, so dinner will be very little work.

Watched the kids yesterday, and enjoyed the nice weather - staying at the playground for almost an hour after school. Their dad had a late meeting, so we ordered Chinese food for dinner.

We are sitting at 67 degrees out, at almost 7:30. This is crazy! Dave just picked up the commode and vanity, and took them to his garage for now. He's leaving for FL tomorrow for a few days. When he gets back we'll get the rest of the stuff and he can get started. He was impressed. I called Lowes and told them he was on his way, to have receiving bring them up front. She said we don't do that. I said then get a manager on the phone. She left to talk to someone, and came back and said "they are bringing them up front right now.". I guess at Lowe's you have to say the word manager to get anything done, lol

I am going to sit outside for a few minutes, and then watch some tv.

Good evening.

Jim saw the eye dr. and his eye has healed. I am not happy that the staff exclude me from all conversations, mainly because does not always listen and the problems occur.

Jay and I had a nice conversation this evening and I was wrong in my assumption. We agreed on the additional work and a price, so I am happy. By the end of the spring/beginning of the summer most of the work should be done. We are replacing both lower entry doors and the framework. The living room wall will be done with new patio doors. I am opting for door with built in blinds, so I don't have to deal with the verticals anymore. I was thinking a nice valence might look nice, but I have time for that. The back yard is getting a low deck covering as well as the main deck being replaced and then new siding. This should not only make the house and property look nicer, but it should also help with energy costs. I want a garden out back, so we are going to get planters for now. I have had weeds out of control, so I wanted the lawn area done away with. This will do that, and I can still have my vegie garden. Jay said he had a 5-year plan and by the end of next year we should be done. He also loves his job so far. It is outside work, and it does get cold, but he doesn't mind that. He has a good work ethic which will take him far.

Since today is National Pizza Day, we had a frozen pizza and salad for dinner. I had planned that anyway not knowing there was a Pizza Day.

I wanted to get t-shirts made for the Disney trip celebrating, and truthfully embarrassing her a bit, but she is so upset by the idea that I may not do it now. I had wanted to get pictures from her first trip put on them with a saying on the back but I guess at 14 that is humiliating.

Oh well Jim is pretending to be awake and watching hockey, so I am off to bed to read. Have a great night all.

Good morning. I did not know yesterday was national pizza day. I had a frozen pizza for supper.

@TazDev Glad Jim's eye is doing well. I guess he is going to do what he wants to do so stressing over it is not going to help. Nice that you are getting some work done at your house.

@bobbiwoz I hope your hand feels better and you and DH are recovered from your colds.

I am off work today. I have errands to do, a hair appt, and then I am going to Kenny's to spend the night. He has the kids this weekend. He is going with me to look at the condos. Another condo in the same complex came up for sale yesterday so I will look at that one too. That one has hardwood floors. I don't like the kitchen cabinets as much as the first one but I do like them. The pictures of the second condo look like a place I could live without having to do any cosmetic work at first. I know there is always something to do. I like the patio area and space a bit better than the first one too. But, you have to actually look at them to see if they speak to you. The area looks nice as I did google street view and overhead view. Jeff did too. I can count on him to do a thorough look at the area for me. last night I did have a good cry telling Chris that I am sorry I have to move out of the area where we lived together but I know he would understand. He said after a loss, do new do different.

Market Basket is calling my name so I am off. Have a good day. I attached a picture of the view outside my office yesterday. My cube is just a row back from the window so I can push my chair out and see the lake.

Since it's Friday, Mia is coming over . I offered to watch her on Friday afternoons. It will be a little hard on me a bit when I work Friday nights (like tonight) b/c I won't be able to take a nap in between jobs. I'll get through it.

Well I decided last night that I wasn't putting my garbage cans out for pick up this morning. When I got home from work they were both blown over so I moved them closer to the house. Later the lids were blown open. I knew if they blew over during the night and garbage fell out, the garbage man wouldn't pick it up.

Caught up on my recorded shows last night. Delicious dinner of cheese and crackers.

Need to clean the house before my little guest gets here, did the laundry last night. Have a great day!

Good morning. At midnight last night it was still 66 degrees out. I had the bedroom window open. Overnight high winds came through and now it will only be 50's today. But it was a nice respite from winter anyhow.

Good Morning and Happy Friday

I enjoyed some extra last night and hope each of you did the same. Such an extra blessing that it's also still warm in here from yesterday. I do pray to be simply grateful in all.
Dad is off doing Friday followed by at Ralphs. I posted in the gratitude thread, I do feel an extra sense of hope that this year ahead will have me being able to safely help dad with these chores plus maybe get some needed clothing and go to church. Blessing indeed to feel that renewed hope from God.

Tazand continuing prayers for Jim. You are, of course, a constant loving support who he is beyond blessed to have. It is so hard indeed to step back and let someone we love make their own choices, especially when their decisions may not be the healthiest for them. It is up to Jim to want to take better charge of his care. I pray you come to feel more peace in knowing that is absolutely not on or about dear you. Do or watch something fun today, my friend and happy, no matter what, trip planning too.

Dad and I because it's so dry have been enjoying Werther's Originals hard I'm not a candy person but these are tasty and soothing to a dry throat or cough, too. I miss and wish Ralphs would finally get in stock some lighter Thomas Mini Bagels.

I'm smiling right now to remember a bagel magnet my elderly Discovery Shop friend Betty made me so very many years ago. I was so blessed to get to volunteer at the Discovery Shop for a few years gro2ing up. God indeed had me meet many lovely friends that way including Betty and her husband Bill. I would often bring a bagel as part of my lunch. As part of a fun high school graduation gift, Betty somehow had a real (I think) mini bagel glazed and transformed into a refridgerator magnet! I hope you enjoyed your bagel yesterday.

What a beatiful view, Snowysmom! God's handiwork is so very present. being in such a setting helps bring you added peace. Once again, always, ITA with you new-home wise. There is no substitute for checking out a potential new in person. Doing so, perhaps even more than once with a space that is a contender, is the only way to truly just know God has guided you there and gifted you extra peace of place in your new space.

Footballmouse, I love that Fridays are a regular day for you to spend with Baby Mia. that the two of you as she grows up are able to continue this tradition and create more cherished times and memories together. Good morning everyone. I found this down on page 2. Everyone must be sleeping in today, lol!

It's sunny, but only going to be mid 40's today. I am washing blankets to hang out in the sun to dry.

Nothing exciting going on here. Stripping and remaking the bed, turning the mattress, and cleaning the bathrooms. I finally caught up with this week's Bachelor, and a few other shows. I haven't decided if I am going to watch the Super Bowl tomorrow or not. Don still isn't feeling well, so there's no point in making a game day spread like I usually do.
We never heard back from his Dr yesterday, which ticks me off. They are getting a phone call first thing Monday morning.

Off to get chores done, have a nice Saturday

Have already been out to "walk" each of the cats, and the sunshine was lovely! I'm glad they like to sit out, as they get me to go out for a bit almost every day.

I've also cut up a pomegranate (messy but worth it) and read the poems for my class Monday.

Not sure what I'll do with the afternoon. DH and I are going to a lodge dinner tonight, so maybe I'll make meatballs to leave in the fridge for DS. (He likes them on a sub roll.)

Wow such a quiet thread! this finds each of you having a good early Saturday so far! Lovely, quiet morning here. Dad is staying homeand we will finally be doing one of our Christmas later which will be fun. It has a cute teddy bear in it which reminds me of dad's special Father's Day bear from a few years ago, BillyI'm also keeping in prayer and doing my best to put to type a short tribute to my late friend Shirley. A kind mutual friend of ours, Sally, who will be at Shirley's memorial has graciously offered to read something from me during a time of open tribute at the service. My main message is to take heart Shirley's own words in part of her voicemail greeting to call someone back. Do it now. Don't put off telling someone that God has gifted you to care for and love that you do!

Huge Lynn with a whole ton of loving prayer for you and Don!

Both DH and I are coughing more and feeling worse that we felt yesterday. So, I’m going to get a book a relax.

Tom only has one more antibiotic, and maybe what he had been given wasn’t the best it could have been. We’ll be patient and call again on Monday, or else, we’ll go to Urgent Care.

Hello. Busy day at Kennys. I walked early. Then I watched the 2 DGS ay gymnastics. We went to look at the condo. The complex or really neighborhood is really nice and well cared for. I liked the size and layout of the condo. However it would need to do so much upgrade and updating work that I just don't want to do. It did not speak to me. On to the next. If another place in the same complex came up for sale I would look at it

Dad and I did do one of our three Christmas puzzles earlier. I'll post a picture of it later because it's on his phone. He is heading to Target as I type. Our can opener that we use daily for soup broke plus there are a couple other things he can get there. He decided to also go today since it may rain tomorrow. He did promise to stay home tomorrow, so here is praying that he really will.
