We will be at WDW for three days and have Quick Service free dining. We will be staying at Coronado Springs and will have a car. Are there any dining spots that are a better value or better quality than others that would be recommended especially at Downtown Disney or the Boardwalk? We only plan to be in the parks one day (epcot) and like to visit other hotels.

Thanks!

We have been to Disney several times...our favorite is Wolf Gang puck express. A close second is Earl of Sandwich.

Since you are getting a dining plan for free, now would be the time to try out the expensive quick service locations.
Actually, your resort has Pepper Market which is one of the more expensive quick service locations at Disney (depending on options you choose).
Keep in mind that pepper market is set up almost like a table service restaurant though so there is a tip involved.

Boardwalk area has almost nothing really beside pool bars for cold premade sandwiches for quick service (ridiculous actually).

Downtown Disney definitely Wolfgang pucks (the westside location has limited items available).
Earl of Sandwich is excellent but very cheap and not the best use of a dining credit. But still very good.
Bongos cafe walk up window on the Westside is also a quick service location now. We've enjoyed it but not sure if the menu has changed now with them joining the dining plan.
Pollo Campero (chicken) is available at the market place and is ok.

One of our favorite places in DTD for quick service is cookes of dublin (in the pleasure island section). Really good and a great use of a dining credit.

The absolute best place to go for CS is WPE....it is TS quality. Entrees are in the $15 range and are HUGE. You meal is served to you and they will bring you drink refills as well....no tip expected but we always leave a few dollars because they are really great.

We did a 12 night stay on the QSDP last year...only once did we eat burgers and fries which was actually by choice. I'm sure I can't remember all the places we ate but here goes.....

WPE...DTD (a few times)
EoS....DTD (a few times)
Cookes of Dublin...DTD
PM....at CSR
CHH...MK
Cosmic Rays...MK
Sunshine Seasons...Ep
Captn Cooks....POLY
Roaring Forks...WL
Contemp resort CS...forget the name(sorry)
Starring Rolls...DHS
the market by RnRC....DHS
Y&Y...AK
several meals at our resort...ASMu

Like others have said, Wolfgang Puck Express is phenomenal. I could eat every meal of my trip there and never get bored (and I stay for two weeks at a time).

In Epcot, I like the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. It is a hidden gem.

I think the Riverside Mill Food Court at Port Orleans Riverside is good.

There's a sandwich at Roaring Fork in the Wilderness Lodge that I love. It has roast beef and blue cheese on it. We usually grab a table outside not too far from the pool and the lake. It is lovely out there.

Also, Mara at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is yummy! They took away the fried shrimp basket (which was my favorite), but I still like their salads and flatbreads.

Also, the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary has many sandwich choices:

  • Multigrain Turkey BLT with lime-cilantro
  • Smoked Ham, dill havarti, and honey mustard
  • Marinated Beef, oven roasted tomatoes, and arugula
  • Hot Turkey, Brie, apple butter, and arugala
  • Honey Lime Chicken, pepper jack cheese, and salsa-Ranch dressing
  • Spice Crusted Mahi with citrus-apple slaw

Hope this helps!

Pepper Market at CSR is a great CS location and a good value for your credits.
