I am rethinking our Coral Reef lunch ADR and was wondering if anyone could suggest a QS restaurant in Epcot. We are looking for something simple, not very adventurous when it comes to dining. This will be our first trip to WDW and any help would be appreciated.

TIA

Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion has a lot of options. There's also Liberty Inn at the American Adventure. Try Allears.net for menus, they keep them pretty current and you can get an idea of what you may want to eat ahead of time.

I really enjoy eating at Sommerfest in the Germany pavilion. They have pretty awesome bratwursts!

We love the Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco, but that may be too adventuresome for you. How about the Fish & Chips in the UK, they are very good.

For burgers and such..Electric Umbrella or Liberty Inn.Our favorite though is Sunshine Seasons inside the Land Pavilion

Not sure what you are looking for as you are "not adventurous" but if you want the typical burgers & nuggets, they can be found at Electric Umbrella. Try Liberty Inn in the World Showcase. If you're looking for a large selection, go with Sunshine Seasons. If you're not interested in "ethnic" foods, stick with Liberty Inn in the World Showcase or the fish & chips in Britain.

IMHO, for CS at EPCOT, it boils down to fish and chips at Yorkshire (in England) and then a big step down to everything else.

As always, your mileage may vary.

I agree with Sunshine Seasons. The food is good and there is a large variety.

Sunshine Seasons is one of the best QS in WDW.
I really liked Yakitori House and the fish & chips are the best I've ever had in Great Britain.

More CS options in Epcot than anywhere else in WDW.

Have you looked at the menus on allears.net?

Epcot is BIG; if you are eating CS, the final deciding factor may be just where in the park you are when you get hungry. If you are in the front of the park (FW) then your options are Electric Umbrella (VERY limited menu) and Sunshine Seasons (more choices; I much prefer this one). If you are all the way in the back of the WS, then the Liberty Inn in the American pavillion is a good CS choice for you.

As you face the back of the park, on the right-hand side of WS your 2 best bets are England and France. England does have good fish & chips but that is the ONLY food item their CS serves. And if you are using a CS credit on the DDP, the only dessert you get with it is a teeny tiny Walkers shortbread cookie. I prefer to go across the bridge to France. Towards the back of the pavilion is the Patisserie. CS meal choices include sandwiches on long, crusty French bread, flatbreads (think rectangular personal pan pizzas), and quiche (which is nothing more than a fancy name for a ham omelet sitting in a pastry shell). And for dessert you get to pick any of the wonderful goodies in the bakery counter. Puts the fish & chips shop to shame, it does.

On the left-hand side of the WS you can get tacos from the Mexican CS, but I'd recommend you go to Kringla in Norway. The CS meal is very complete: your choice of one of several sandwiches which you can have hot or cold (we love the ham, cheese, and apple), plus a small salad or fruit or cup of soup, plus your choice from THEIR bakery counter, plus your beverage. The only thing that might be 'exotic' would be if the soup of the day is particularly Norwegian - but you can always just get the lettuce or the small bowl of fruit instead.

For counter service in EPCOT, I either go with Yorkshire for Fish & Chips or head on over to the Liberty Inn in America for food, both are great and neither is adventurous.

Good luck!

:thumbsup2

We really enjoyed Norway. Had a sandwich, salad, and delicious pastry for dessert. Great value on the DDP and a great meal! I suppose I don't know if the salad is still included?

My favortie Quick Service locations at the Epcot is Sunshine Seasons & Electric Umbrella. Also both them have self serve drink stations and that means you can get free refills.

Fish and chips in England!! So good! We also like Sunshine Seasons, they have a huge selection from soup, salads, sandwiches, asian food and rotisserie chicken and salmon. I love the spicy cashew chicken. I am not a big fan of the electric umbrella.

Another vote for Kringla in Norway. We have used it both on the ddp as a 1 credit counter service and then we have paid oop too.

Its a good value a the other posters have said, only downside could be you have to sit outside to eat, but its in a covered area and you could look around too etc.

Never had anything bad from there. I have had the soup, salad and I usually get the club and dh like the one with apples too.

Sunshine Seasons has enough choice for lots of tastes. It has ben good every time we have been.

CS at the Norway pavilion (it's called Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe) is the world showcase's best kept secret. DBF and I were there Wednesday night and split one CS credit. For 1 CS credit you get your choice of about 5 sandwiches (we had the roast beef and swiss, which was huge and on a very fresh roll), any pastry or dessert, a side salad or fruit salad, and a drink. Even fancy Voss water counts. It would have cost $23.50!

You'd think Norway would be adventurous, but they have many traditional options and you can't beat the value.

My favorite thing to do for lunch in Epcot is to go to the Patisserie in France and get a ham and cheese croissant and a strawberry tart. They will warm up the croissant for you. It is a yummy and relatively inexpensive lunch. It also isn't a large amount of food, so you have room to sample more treats around world showcase. They also have ham and cheese quiche and a ham and cheese sandwich too.

Sunshine Seasons is good if you are in Future World at lunch time. Kringa bakery in Norway is good if you are at the other end of World Showcase. The roast beef sandwich there is pretty good and so are the desserts.
