I'm wondering about mobile ordering at quick service places. Do I have to mobile-order? I don't have a cell phone, so this is obviously an issue. DH has a cell, but it's owned by his employer and he is hesitant to download non-work related apps. Are there options to mobile ordering at the quick service locations?

ON a related note... Is it difficult to download and use the Disney app, does it take up a lot of "space" on the phone, is it easy to remove once we are no longer at Disney?

@leebee, yes you can order without a phone - but you will be better off if you do use the app. But others here can explain how it works better then I can.

As for your husbands phone, ask him to check with HR or IT, every business is different but if they expect him to have the phone on vacation then I'd say they are fine using it for personal use too, but all he needs to do is check. The iPhone MDE app comes in at 286.3 MB while the Droid weighs in at 94 MB. The size isn't as much of a big deal as the potential data usage (no idea if your husbands business limits data or note but doubtful) you can use the Disney Wifi. The other issue is the the battery drain if you use the app a lot, but in your case I'm thinking that's doubtful.

Thanks for the info. I'll have him check in with his HR/IT people. My guess is the hesitancy is on DH's part, especially as he's been working from home since April; the phone has been necessary! I think this is another one of those situations where I am going to be dragged, whining all the way, into the 21s century hahaha!

Be aware that there are some QS places which AREN'T doing Mobile Ordering, so I don't know if going to those would help For example, Epcot only has 2 Mobile Ordering QS, so I was afraid that meant that only 2 QS places were open However, I was told that there are several others that aren't participating in MO

You don't need to mobile order. Let the CM at the restaurant entrance know that you can't and they'll let you in to order at a register. They may try to strongly encourage mobile ordering, but it is not a requirement.
