We were on the QS plan, me, husband and 4 year old granddaughter. Overlall, I liked it----though the childrens selections are woefully bad.

We stayed at POP and ate at the food court every morning and several times for supper. For a food court I was quite impressed. There were plenty of adult choices and the food court was busy but never overly crazy.POP does an excellent job with their food court.

POP- I was slightly dissapointed in the famous shrimp lo mein. Good but due to all the raves I expected more....however the tye-dye cheesecake more then lived up to its reputation. There were very good turkey dinners and a roast beef sandwich that was to die for.

MK-ate at Columbia Harbour House and it was not as good as I remembered it. It was crazy chaos, and they were understaffed......the food was average at best. The good thing is that you can go and eat upstairs which is a world away from the craziness of downstairs.

Pinochio Village Haus, had a decent chicken Ceasar, not bad, ate outside, it was cleean and the food was good.

Epcot-had a great pork dinner at Sunshine Seasons food court. Really, it was a as good as a sit down dinner.....SS is a great place to eat at Epcot.

AK-tired Flame Tree Barbecue for the first time. Ate down by the water and it was one of the best meals we had. Highly recommend.

HS-ate at ABC Commisary, it was horrid.....I have yet to have a decent fast food meal at the Studios.

Ate only one OOP meal, Crystal Palace buffet.....always a highlight of any trip.

Overall I was happy with ther QS dining plan....we used out snack credits for breakfast and ended up scrambling to use up all our snack credits. You get plenty of food on this plan....I would definately do it again and the fact that it was free dining made it all the better.

We seem to stick to our favorites and Sunshine Seasons makes the list.

I think sometimes you need to subsidize the plans for whatever reasons. In your case this means getting additional items for the 4 year old and paying OOP if it helps. It may mean sharing your own meal with them, too.

I don't think any of the plans will be a perfect fit for any group. Even on the deluxe the child choices still suck. Even on the deluxe you could waste your credits and not get full value of that plan.

All you can do is your best with whatever plan you choose.

I love free dining.

I'm thinking of choosing the QS plan when we get next fall. I was wondering if you use it at a place where the fries, or whatever, are side items, are they covered? Does that make sense? I get confused when it says entree and drink because so many menus seem to have them listed separately. (f.e. a burger is $9 and then fries are $2.49)

Thanks for the review! We usually do the regular dining plan but decided to try the quick service when we go next month. It's hard to find reviews of the qs plan.

The problem with the qsdp isn't the food, it's the pricing. Unless you love the mugs, it would generally be cheaper to get the same food without the plan. (especially when there is only 1 snack next year, and especially if you skip some of the desserts, or if you use credits for breakfast)

Unless you are getting it for free :thumbsup2 I don't think i'd actually pay for the QSDP, but it's free so i'll take it.
