QS after DDP

We've been to WDW twice now, both times we had the DDP.

Our next trip I am seriously considering downgrading to just the QS plan.

I am just wondering, will we be disappointed? My thoughts would be book one or two character meals and pay OOP. We don't bother with park hopper, so we either had to leave a park for supper or find a restaurant we liked within it. With the QS I like the idea of not rushing for reservations each day, and being able to stop and eat when we are hungry, not waiting for the reservation time. Not to mention the simple cost savings of using QS.

I **think** I'd be okay with the switch, I don't think my kids would even notice/care. Its my husband, who's best part of our Disney vacations is the food and eating like a king for a week that I'm worried about.

Who else has used the DDP once or twice, than switched to the QS for another. I'd love to hear feedback if you ended up being disappointed after or it was just as enjoyable.

I know we can go without any plan and get a bit of everything, most likely for less. I'm looking for comparisons of the plans though, we like being on one and I'm not ready to travel without at this point.

Our first trip we had the DDP and all we did was chase around from ADR to the next. Way too much food and not enough park time. Since then the only time we have had a meal plan has been FD QS. It is still a lot of food. We do one TS meal. There are plenty of good QS places and they have good food. We love the freedom more than an overpriced TS meal.

We've used the DDP for 6/7 out of our last trips. The last trip was a quick 4n/5d girl's only trip that had to be cheap - value resort with the free qs plan. I loved it! We actually did try to eat at the nicer CS restaurants, and had great meals - no burgers or pizza at all. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

We do both. I will say that if you are planning QS, it might still pay to get the QS plan. Since you have been using the DDP, be prepared for sticker shock on the CS restaurants. :goodvibes
