QQ about Ent Card purchase on Ebay

So, it sounds too good to be true to just purchase the card for $0.99 on ebay to save so much at HoJo. Has anyone done this? Do I have to pay for an activation fee to use it at HoJo? Or do you smiply show that you have the card and they don't check to see if you are "activated?"

I bought one on ebay. I never activated it or anything. I just showed it at Hojo's and was good to go.

Just make sure yours is still valid for the year you are going to use it. They have weird expiration dates so watch that.

It cost me a few bucks with shipping. I could have bought the book but I live in a rural area so the coupons in the book wouldn't have benefited me.

Just to second what the PP stated - there is no activation. They say they will check it at check in...sometimes they do from what I have heard, but we have never been asked to show ours.

My understanding is that if the date we are wanting to book/have booked is not available for the retro rate, the entertainment card will still get us a 15% discount off our stay. Is this correct?

I called the HoJo and she told me that she could not give me the additional 15% discount although I understood the website to state differently.

Call in the morning and speak with the reservation desk at the hotel...if you call and get central reservations at ho jo corporate...they won't help you with the ent/retro rate. They last time I called the hotel, reservation desk didn't open until 9am (Pacific Time.)
