Q about On-Site Hotels

I've read on this board about the advantage of staying at an on-site hotel , particularly not having to wait on long lines ...

I am planning to go on a Friday, driving directly to Universal Studios, and then checking in and staying staying only overnight at the Hard Rock after a full day at the park.

How do i obtain a room key, or proof that i am staying at the Hard Rock to show ride attendant, if I have yet to check in?Will they accept a reservation confirmation?

To recieve front of the line access, you probably need to be check in first. Although, I don't fully inderstand your question.

As soon as you arrive, no matter what time that is, go to the Hard Rock to check in first. If your room is not ready they will still give you a card key for the day. You will also be able to use the card key on your check out day.

As soon as you arrive, head to the hotel ~ check in & get your room key. They will store your luggage for you & everything !
When you have your key, head to the parks for your Express Access !!!!
You can use the room key alllllllll day the day you check in & allllllll day the day you are checking out.

Thanks for the information...although i will be arriving in Orlando way to early to check in to Hard rock, from what you guys replied, i will still be able to show my res. and get a room key for the park benefit of no waiting in line...

No matter how early...you can pre register. Your room may not be ready but you will get a key for express. They will hold your bags for you also. Have Fun!

In February, we checked in to PBH at 7:30 AM. Since it was slow, they had our room ready. We completed check in, had the luggage brought to the room, unpacked, and we were still at the park by 9:00 AM.
We're hoping for the same luck in September.

I just booked our room at the rp, and the girl asked me what time we'd be checking in, I told her early, around 7-8 am, she said no prob. they'd store our luggage and give us all 5 room keys, so we could go to the park so we could have fotl.... so, I don't think it matters what time you check in........ you may not get your room, but you'll get your room key....... and that's all you need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
