PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

Got through after 40 ish minutes and got what I wanted! Standard studio for 4 nights in April!! Really happy!
That’s exactly the time I was in the queue for too. I was able to book 1 bedroom std for June! Happy with what we got, especially since an existing owner, I didn’t have access to the developer inventory. Looking forward to our stay!

So I called and got through right away.. that was nice. I decided to try the waitlist for the nights I wanted as someone recommended.
What I was told is they would have to modify my reservation and by cancelling those two days and rebooking it, but since that room is not available someone could grab it or get it through waitlist before we can rebook it.

So I could end up with NO room for my last two nights unless the waitlist goes through.

Don't think I am willing to risk that.

There are some reports that people have been able to use non-PVB points for bookings today (alongside their poly points). This doesn’t really make sense to me, as I thought we were effectively in the home resort period 🤷‍♀️

I had a booking at VGF for three nights using mixed Poly and RIV points. When they cancelled that to book my Poly IT room he told me specifically only Poly points from the reservation could be used so I had to borrow Poly points to make the reservation work.

Maybe some CM’s weren’t totally read up on the rules but mine was and he was working with a supervisor.

Using new points to book at non-Poly resorts would follow the normal 7 month rule. Once your contract is closed and those points are loaded into your account, you can use them anywhere that is less than 7 months out.
Not exactly. I've been told that these points are special and don't start until December 17 - since the resort doesn't open until December 17. How true this is, I don't know.

Please do not post availability or lack there off…comments about experience is allowed…Ie. I tried t book SV on xyz and it’s sold out.

Sharing what one see in the calendar is not…lots of posts have been deleted.

This is correct….but it still means that anyone looking to use new PVB points at other resorts can do so following the 7 month rules as long as check in is Dec 17th or later…

I just called back to try to upgrade our room in January from a duo to a regular studio and SV and PV were totally gone and only 2/3 days I wanted were available in PM 🤷🏼‍♀️ tbf it’s for marathon weekend so it’s not surprising it’s gone quickly but I was hoping with all the declared and undeclared inventory I’d get lucky. Makes you wonder what new members buying the tower next month will be left with. I wonder if they’ll holding back some inventory for them to use for their Welcome Home.

Good first day of Polynesian deeds on the county comptroller. I count 104. I didn't look at each one to verify the comptroller didn't enter incorrect information.

Is that officially all DVC did for October 1st opining day sales, or is it possible the comptroller was only able to process 104 today and there are far more to come?

Those are only closed sales with deeds filed by DVD. Anyone who stretched out payments over 90 days, for instance, wouldn't close until the end of the 90 day period. So those contracts will show up over time. Deeds filed during October will tell the story better.

Well it took me an hour and a half on hold today and I still didn't manage to get what I wanted (it was a TP Penthouse so the chances were slim) but I did get my cash reservation changed over to points.

I also released 2 VGF 2beds so hopefully someone here got a nice waitlist today!

Wouldn’t also be people who actually completed all the documentation same day? Actually, I don’t understand how it works with the recession period and the fact that people waited weeks for a notary.

I saw someone online that claims to have used Saratoga points with their Poly points. Someone needs to audit that cast member’s transactions from today, retrain that cast member, and then recall all those reservations that were made with non qualified points. 🤦‍♀️ who supervises member services?

Even if someone pays the full amount in cash and signs all the papers that day, the sale can’t close until after the ten day rescission period has passed, and of course the deed can’t be filed until the sale has closed. So with different members signing contracts, paying deposits, arranging to pay the balance, some deeds are filed sooner than others even if the purchase was made the same day.

That's the only one I saw too, so I wonder if it's just a one off. It would be interesting to hear if anyone else did it.
