Thanks, we plan on it and it’s one of the reasons we booked there. The Kidani splash pad is great for our 2 year old and our other boys enjoy the big pool and slide.

Does a 2 year old count against room occupancy? I honestly forget. Just wondering because if he/she counts, then a PVB Tower Studio won't work for your family as it only accommodates 4.

Yes he doesn’t count against occupancy but this will be the last trip which that is the case so we are taking advantage of being able to book a studio.

No, but you are only allowed one per room. We have twin two year olds in the family but they’re identical I guess they just can’t be seen next to each other. - just kidding, I got the bigger room

My twins are fraternal so it was never an option for me.

For those that like following exterior aerials, @bioreconstruct on X posted a series of recent aerials from a few days ago. I’ll post one below but worth flipping through his posts around the same time for additional angles and views.

My quick thoughts-

- The pool and grounds are really starting to come together. All looks pretty good, in my humble opinion.
- The Floridian Way expansion has now become the project that seemingly will never end. I’m sure a lot of water and utility work has occurred, but not much evidence of a finish line there yet.
- At the moment, before Floridian Way is expanded and a proper turn lane added, I’m worried about backups for those turning into the Tower. There’s really not much room at all to queue. Will be interesting to watch, hope I’m wrong.
- Not much evidence of any work starting yet on the overall Poly entrance modifications and bus stop expansion.
- I’ve said it before but I think it’s a shame the Tower and Floridian Way/Poly entrance projects weren’t more aligned to be finished on a similar schedule, but such is construction I guess.

This is from yesterday. At the end is the walkway which is still closed but it's no longer boarded up. Looks like I can't attach the YouTube video. I'll try to put the picture here.

Looks like the Island Tower will have it's own parking lot. Hopefully it'll be big enough.

Depends on the mix of guests with vs without vehicles. 268 keys, I think? But there might not even be room for 100 parking spots.

At least a lot of MK-area guests especially are fly-in / “Bubble” people…

Yeah, there are 121 regular and 5 hc parking spots in the stormwater permit plans (and my guess is the 6 close to the entrance may be limited time check-in parking or similar uses). I'm not sure what the right average ratio of guests with/without vehicles typically runs at a WDW resort. Seems like this could flirt with often being full, but I don't really know, I may be way off. I do speculate they likely don't want this lot used for tower restaurant and other Poly dining guests and will likely actively enforce using the main Poly entrance - although just my speculation. Will be curious to watch how they handle things. I know connecting the lots basically isn't possible with the monorail and layout in that area, but it does potentially lead to some wonky operational issues.

I could see them putting valet cars there. They would probably want to keep the front spots open on the days that they have weddings scheduled.

I love the way VGF is managing their dining parking. They are using the overflow lot across the street. When you come through the main driveway and the guard checks your dining reservation, he gives you a paper for your dashboard and tells you to make a U turn right there. You go down the street a bit and park in the overflow lot. I just walk across the street, but there is a large golf cart type shuttle that will take you over. People online are losing their minds over it, but I think it’s fabulous, now they can’t have breakfast and leave their car all day and go in the theme park. Obviously, the drive would be longer, but maybe PVB could set up some type of shuttle arrangement with that lot.

Only if they build a driveway connecting the two. I believe there’s shrubbery and some kind of barrier there now. And I agree with posts above - that parking is needed for VGF as well as the Wedding Pavilion. So I think Poly Tower parking overflow will be directed to the regular Poly parking lot, which will hopefully be larger after the Poly entrance is reconfigured.

Does anyone know why all the railings aren't the same? I just noticed this, and can't understand why the heck they'd do this rather than keep it uniform. In my opinion the teak/wooden design looks far better than the black with glass, but that's just me.

I don't know. The solid glass protects more from rain? Unsure. The upper floors look like that have higher roof-lines, which might be a weather concern?

It looks weird to me too. I checked the artist renderings that were published months ago and the railings were already differentiated exactly this way in those images.

It might have to do with sightlines from inside the room behind the sliding door.

The higher floors might require you to look down through the railing to see the TPV where the ones lower are on the same vertical plane and don’t require guests to look down.

I was thinking that too, but there’s no floor consistency to it.
