PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

LOL, Mickey Math, I love it! Too true, too true . . . DH just asked this week if DVC is saving us any money. I'm like, well, on the rooms, yes -- but there's no way we'd go as often, as nice, buy APs periodically, bring extended family, and want to buy more points! Soooooo, maybe not, but you can't take it with you, and I want to do all the trips I can with the family while we're under one roof and can get around.

We have Irish twins! Not real twins, LOL. For 13 days they're the same age, boy/girl, and both growing like weeds. I cannot imagine stuffing us all in a regular hotel room with two queen beds for more than a night at this point. Totally spoiled with the kitchen, laundry, and space.

DVC is expensive, but it sure does make vacationing convenient.

No and I also have a December use year. I was looking forward to a 200 point add on until I found out on opening day they wouldn't give me last years points , not even last years developers points that I could use elsewhere ( they did this as a promotion when I bought Kidani AK in 2008 because it was not open yet . Developer SSR points were given or a 3 day cruise).
However I have switched gears and told my guide to call me November 1 and I am going to buy RR. I was going to do 250 to get 33 off a point but after thinking about it I'm going to do 268 for an even 1000. @Sandisw get ready to add me to the list lol
So are you saying that if you buy RR with a December UY on Nov 1 you will get 2023 points?

Oh wow … I did not realize that. I have a December UY
Yes, me too... I am considering adding on a 30 point contract or so - somewhere with the intention of banking and borrowing so I have 90 more points for our upcoming vacation...

When I learned Poly tower only gives me two years, having to move up to a 45 point contract or so, might make me think differently....

Do you need more points in the long run, or just for that trip?

If just for that trip, it might make sense to transfer in the points you need.

We need them for the long run... Many more points in the long run! lol

need about another 90 points this coming year

2026 we plan to take off and do a long DCL

2027 onward if we want to resume our annual Disney trips we need about another 110 points....

110 points per year, total?

In that case, I wouldn't worry too much about the 2023 UY. In the long run, having the resort(s) you want might matter more.

I’m really struggling if I want to add 150 direct points to my Feb resale UY. The goal was always to wash the resale points in this UY.

If I am getting 2024 UY points and only paying 2 weeks of annual dues, how would that math compare to buying resale with 2025 points? There’s nothing really on the resale market right now but I’m basing this on hypothetically getting resale within the next few months at $160 per point.

I’ve bounced around from “just 25-50 points” all the way up to “FW 1br level points”. My husband is telling me not to enter the hunger games and two studios will be fine.

How about two FW Deluxe Studios? Separate quarters for your inlaws accomplished and you can always redeem one/both weeks for points to use anyway you want at Poly 11 months out.

I like the way you think! I have my eyes open for the next 174 points myself! If only there was a website to find a small number of points for a good deal.... 🤔

If buy November 1st; you will pay 2 months of dues for 2024 for RIv.

Dues begin the day you agree to buy.
I don't plan on returning the papers until later in the month. If they do start when I put the deposit down though it's still November as opposed to now.

Definitely better than now, but wanted you to be aware that delaying signing doesn’t delay the dues. Two months is a good deal for sure!

Does this imply more declarations?

So do we think the $225 Poly pricing is just for the member add-on period and that the price will increase when sales are opened to the public???
