PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

This has maybe been clarified elsewhere but do we know what “preferred” views are yet?
Would it be over the lagoon at all or will that be strictly Theme Park?
I believe "preferred" is to include the higher floors on the far side of the building, facing the golf course.

No point adding on yet then, why pay full year of 2025 dues and most of 2026 if I can buy in Nov 2026 and get the same amount of points and only 6 weeks of dues

Because by the time you get to Nov 2026 - the way DVC increases prices, you'll have a price increase at the end of 2025 and again in 2026 - so that price per point will likely be well over $250 by then given current trends.

I'd guess the $225 goes to $239 by year-end and then end of 2025, $250, then 2026 - higher ahead of sell out.

DVC never gets cheaper - i learned this with Riv direct after having resale for awhile- kept waiting - prices would go up - but incentives would almost balance it but never quite get to where they were before - finally pulled trigger.

Yeah I get it, I was just explaining they can tick me off the buyers list now. Not even getting your current UY? I mean, that’s rough.

Depends on the category.

Longhouses no longer have a lake view as that is replacing it (At least on the new Point Charts)

The 1 bedrooms state "Views of Pool or Golf Course"

Well, dues will be prorated for 2025 based on start of UY.

So, if I added to my June UY, I’d have dues to pay starting one June 1st to year end, but could borrow points for stays before then?

I agree though that it does temper buying, unless the incentives are killer. But as I said, the MB program is pretty much useless IMO.

Thst alone may spark some good RIV sales.

Since this is an existing association I can't imagine you aren't going to get this year's points. How does that normally work for an add on?
25 points is the minimum I noticed. That was the minimum before but I thought when they did BPK they had upped VGF to a 50 point minimum.

"
Additional information to consider:

Minimum Point add on is: 25 points for cash purchase, 50 points for Member Financing
Price is $225 per point. Promotions (if any) have not yet been announced.

Polynesian Tower lines up with existing Resort, Deed Expires January 31st. 2066

We will match your Use Year and the Points will be distributed in your 2025 Use Year.

For current owners and those adding on at the Polynesian, Member Bookings start October 15th and the Tower opens December 17th.
"

I wonder what Use Years they are going to plan on selling to the General public.

I am going to buy as a new member and we were planning to go in the last week of April next year — booking a studio.

Is that hopeless?

No it's possible to do that. You would have to buy ASAP, get an early use year like Feb, March, or April, then book ASAP when booking with points opens

It did get cheaper for VGF2 with last summer's fire sale. And this summer for VDH it was cheaper for 200 pts with all the incentives than it was on Day One.

When new units open, the first set of points is, at earliest, the year it opens.

But, since the units don’t open until the end of the year, they can indeed start with 2025.

When BPK opened, everyone started with 2022 points, even though most UYS were still in their 2021 UY.

So based on the info we currently have there is no price advantage to existing members who add on when sales start? (the only advantage is getting to add on first and book first).
I think there's a very good possibility that member pricing goes up / discounts down on October 29 when sales expands to new buyers. Fine print on October 1 should reveal more.

Also worth noting that the last increase in base price was from $217 to $225 in January 2024. Even during the pandemic when sales were slow, DVC always had at least one annual increase. I'd count on the base rising beyond $225 by at least January 2025. But they could accelerate it and raise prices in November / December '24 too.

It has been clarified that all PVB owners, adding on or not, will have the same booking rights.

But, if you don’t own PvB already, then yes, adding on now will allow you to book it as a home resort owner October 15th where the rest of us have to wait until end of November to use our non PVB points.

Sheesh! I gotta say I’m pretty disappointed with the points chart. I was really hoping Disney would do the right thing, and not go crazy with the theme park view points…but they went crazy with the theme park view points!

938 points for a 2 bedroom theme park view over the Christmas and Easter weeks!?!?! This is insane. Consider a VGF lake view 2 bedroom over the same week is 759 for 7 nights!

Anyone buying into PVB with the idea of staying theme park view during the more popular travel times, you are gonna need some seriously deep pockets.
