Hey, did anyone in the 7 month window ask if non-Poly points could be used for booking? Just curious. I hadn't thought about doing that, but could call back sometime in the next few days and see if it's possible to swap some out. Did do some borrowing already though from Poly points.

I would think that for now until February 18th, PBV owners are in their home resort priority period and would have to use only PVB points. It would be interesting if someone is allowed to do otherwise.

I was on hold for an hour and 35 minutes to book at Poly before hanging up. That is ridiculous amount of wait time.

That's a good question! So if a poly owner wanted to book poly within their 7 month window (if they were within it today or the next few days) and wanted to use non poly points. I wasn't as I was booking in January but I would be interested to know too.

Couldn't you just call after the rush (as long as it's before 31 days?) and switch out points??? You're technically booking after 7m.

From What I understand you can use points from other contracts, but you can only book with those points 7 months out. So.... if you are booking at POLY and your stay will be 54 points and your only have 50 Points at your HR POLY then you would have to wait list one day of your stay (with points from your other contract) and hope it is available at the 7 month booking time.

Gotcha, but we're already less than 7 months out for our stay. Unless they are blocking that specifically system or policy-wise, makes sense we could use other home resort points. I wonder if that's one of the primary reasons we couldn't book online today - that they technically can't block us from using whichever points we want to book Poly in the next 2 weeks as long as PVB is our home resort.

Great experience getting booked this morning! First one for my CM with 0 wait time. Bungalow is officially booked for Oct 7th-11th for an epic BDay celebration. Gma will be 90 and DS will be 18. MNSSHP and F&W. Cannot wait!!!

Member services needs to get on same page. I was told I could not use transferred in points for poly reservation, I had to use my poly points today then on February 25th I could call back and have them re allocate the transferred in points and get my poly points back.

The CM confirmed that we need to call back on the 25th in order to try to transfer a couple days to PVB (this is for May, so it is within 7 month).

Only PVB points can be used for any PVB reservation until the 25th.

I can see DVC not allowing members to use non-PVB points to book the Poly until February 25, 2015, when the booking window opens for all DVC members who don't own at the Poly. Otherwise, someone could have bought a tiny 25-point PVB last month and then today, with the booking window opening for PVB owners, trying to combine their 25 PVB points with their points from OKW, AKV, etc ., to book the Poly for the opening week.

I had to wait about 15 minutes when I called around 10. Booked a short trip in July and another short trip for October, both standard views. The person on the phone said it had been a very busy morning with over a hundred people waiting at any given time. She said the norm is about 20.

Somewhere in my brain I know the answer to this, but cannot retrieve .... that'd be a cancel and rebook, right? Not a point reallocation? So in theory you could lose your reservation?

You should not be able to use any other points, or reallocate in the future. In fact, I'd be surprised if you could use Poly points anywhere else before then.

They would be able to use the Poly points to book a stay starting after April 1st and within the 7 month window at any other resort. Any poly owner should have been able to do that once their points were loaded into the system.

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but the only legal way I could imagine having a home resort advantage for the first two weeks of booking is if the Poly condo association hasn't yet officially joined the DVC organization. Otherwise, I don't see any legal basis for the extra home resort advantage.
