does it bother anyone else that this board has become more of a general 'budget' board rather than how to budget and make disney more affordable? I mean, all these tips that are shared are great but I personally would prefer that this board not be cluttered up with thing 'non-disney'.

For those, I visit another board. I come here strictly for mouse motivation.

I love it for all budget tip, but I think that most things stick pretty close to Disney related. Like chadwicks, the luggage has been referred to as great for going to disney and many people ordered clothes or shoes specifically for disney. Iknow I got the luggage to bring to disney. The picture posts can definately be related to disney as we all take lots of pictures at disney and the free samples posts are for people to get to bring to disney so they don't have to take full sized items. Just my opinion. I think that the budget tips usually are related to Disney.

Good point. Those things that may not be related to disney,still end up being related to disney

It doesn't bother me at all. In fact, every penny I can save in other ways (non-Disney related) allows me to allocate that money toward my Disney vacation. So whether that means looking for ways to cut the heating bill, or getting coupons for free grocery items, it ALL helps me save more $$ for the vacation fund. If you think about it, that would mean even non-Disney things mentioned on this board are actually, in a way, vacation related. KWIM?

I whole heartedly vote for us continuing to post non-Disney, non-vacation savings ideas here. Every penny counts!

I really don't find it difficult to skip any threads that I'm not interested in. I do belong to another message board that is more "general budget" oriented but I don't mind seeing similar postings here. Like the others have stated, I think that anything that saves me money in my general budget allows for more money to be spent on my WDW dreams.

I echo the majority of other posts - I don't mind in the least! Every penny saved is another penny for WDW - and we need as many as we can get. I say, bring on the tips!! I love 'em!!!

I too agree with the OP...this board should be just for DW trip budgeting...anything else should go to CCCS or something like that.

I like the board the way it is. I am so Disney obsessed any savings goes into my vacation DISNEY savings. I bought Chadwick's sandles for my cruise and the luggage for our cruise as well.

There are plenty of great non-Disney money savong tips I have gotten on these boards.

We don't save money at Disney, we spend it. However some of the tips here have really helped.

I will admit I don't find the "my Sam's club has a great deal on XXXX" or "code XXX will get you something at specfic vendor y" helpful. But someone else must.

i don't think this board is limited to just disney related conversations. if you'll notice, there are two "sticky" threads re: ING and eBay that the moderators/webmaster put on there.

There's even a section dedicated to Universal Studios.

We all have choices on what we want to "click" on to read.
