Purex all in one sheets

ohhh, I loved those tide tablets!:sad2:

I already bought a package of the purex sheets. Do you think they will be okay in the HE machines. I was a little concerned about the previous comment of the need to fill the machine with water before putting the sheet in. Is that possible with an HE machine? Don't some of them lock after you start them?

I have an HE machine(top loader) and I tried one last weekend. Just tossed it in with the clothes and turn it on. HE machines don't fill with water, like regular ones. I did a load of navy/dark shorts and they came out looking like I used regular HE liquid detergent. I'm a fan!

Now the directions for a regular washer is to let it fill and throw the sheet in, then the clothes.

Thanks. I think the BWV machines in the laundry room are the HE machines, so I just wanted to be prepared.

Yes I believe they are. I threw the outside wrap away, but I think these are formulated for HE machines.

Directions:Front loading HE machines, throw sheet in with clothes, start washer.

Regular top loader: start washer, add sheet, then clothes.

I opened my Sunday paper and there is a $2.00 coupon for these on the front page of Smartsource insert. Now I definately will try them!!!

Sunday paper - Smart Source coupons for $2.00 off plus Kmart then put in an add that they are on sale for $5 a box so only $3 this week!
I am at the end of my Tide tablet stash...good timing.

We used these on our DVC trip to Hilton Head last week and they were great. Two families-- 7 people at the beach and playing golf most days. Lots of laundry! We had eight sheets left over after 7 days. Certainly more expensive than other options, but the convenience for the trip was worth it for us.

How well do these work? Would you use them as regular laundry detergent at home? They are supposed to contain fabric softener, can you notice the softener in your clothes when you where them? (Btw this is probably the reason they are more than regular laundry detergent...they are detergent, softener, and I think anti-static.).

What is an HE washer?

HE - High Efficiency. My Duet - Front Loaders are HE's. They require different detergent than regular washers.

Heads up MA & NH people - Market Basket has them for 4.99 plus the $2 off coupon, all three scents were represented in starter packs and refills.

My VA Kroger also had them for $4.99 this week with the $2 off they are only $2.99. Or if you prefer you spend $6.99 at CVS ($4.99 with the coupon) and there is a $2 extra care buck too so it works out to be $2.99 as well.

Since I'm not familiar with these, has anyone actually taken them in a carryon? Do they need to be included in your quart size bag or can they be separate?
