Purchasing Tickets By Phone

I purchased enough gift cards at BJ's ($95 for a $100 card) to cover our park tickets for our trip in August. I knew that I can only use one gift card while purchasing tickets online, so I started transferring the balances to one card. During this process, I realized that each card can only be loaded to $1000, which doesn't cover our total.

I'm wondering if purchasing the tickets by phone has any complications/delays vs purchasing them online? I know that tickets are linked to MDE pretty much instantly when purchased online. Is it the same by phone?

I'm debating whether it's worth it to just buy them online, using a credit card to cover the rest of the balance, and then use the remaining gift cards to cover our charges while we're at Disney.

Our FP+ window is still several weeks away, but I want to make sure that I have everything set and ready to go.

Been a couple years since I've done this so I'm not sure if they changed anything. Also, you're less than 120 days out so you won't get the 2% kickback. But I bought discounted Target cards then used those to purchase Disney gift cards via a red card to get another 5% discount. I then loaded the Disney cards into a Disney Vacation Savings Account https://disneyvacationaccount.disney.go.com/ I then used that to buy tickets etc. and got a bonus to spend in the parks. You probably could load your Disney gift cards into such an account and buy online. You just wouldn't get the kickback.

You can also split up the ticket purchase so that you are buying a total of less than $1000 worth of tickets. You don't have to purchase all the tickets in only one transaction.

I didn't even think of that! Clearly I like to over complicate matters for myself. Thank you!
