Deal going now is SSR is being sold to new buyers at $90 per point. The incentive appears to be that they would make your use year be February. At least I think that's what I remember hearing.

I did the same thing as Tom (I added 120 SSR points and received the 100 developer points). The value of roughly $69 is only true though if you rent the points. If you use them, it still cost you $87 per point ($95 - $8 incentive).

My calculations:
Initial Price: $95 X 120 = $11,400
Incentive: $8 x 120 = $960
Purchase Price: $87 X 120 = $10,440
Rent Add-on Points: $10 x 120 = $1,200
Rent Developer Points: $10 x 100 = $1,000
Final Cost: $11,400 - $960 - $1200 - $1000 = $8,240
Price / Point: $8240 / 120 = $68.67

One nice advantage for this is for the calendar year 2005, there is no maintenance dues. Note Disney changed the price to $98 after June 19.

I have read on several threads that there are no incentives, now, on add-ons at SSR...

So the rate went up to $98, no $8 incentive, and no 100 developer points? (for add-ons)

Hmmm...not sure about add ons, but when I talked to my guide on June 30, SSR points were $98, less the $8 incentive, net $90. That was it. My guide did mention something about "backdating" my use year which would be like doubling my points. Has anyone else done that? Can you explain how that works?
