My husband and I are thinking about buying three Annual Passes and 2 - children 2 days passes - for our trip next week.

Can I buy annual passes at the gate at 8:00am?

Can I then have early entry too?? Which days are early entry??

We thought doing it this way would get us more express tickets and save some money in the event we go again this year??

Any opinions would be great!!!

Thank you!

BelleBeast - We leave in 3 days!!

Hi BelleBeast,

You can pay for your annual pass at the gate. Then you have to go to guest services (inside the turnstyles) to get your actual Annual Pass. It's like a drivers license with your picture on it, really sturdy. If for some reason the pass office is busy, just back later,if you don't want to wait.

Sorry, I don't know if an ap entitles you to ee. The rules changed since I was there last.

Purchasing your annual pass at the gate will NOT allow you Early Entry into the theme parks.

Also - to qualify to carry 3 Express passes at a time (in other words, be a multi-day ticketholder) you need to purchase the full Annual Pass (that's the expensive one).

The cheaper Adventurer Passes, Summer Florida-resident passes, etc (while "technically" multi-day passes) only work as single-day tickets in the Express kiosks.

CoasterFEV, do you mean that it is not possible to buy the 'normal' annual passes at the Gate? We're visiting in August and would like to buy APs which give multi-day ticket priviledges, discounts on food, etc. Where is the best place to buy APs from?

Regards

Rob

Sorry,

YES you can, of course, buy the regular annual passes at the front gates of the parks.

The only thing I was remarking on was that annual passes are not valid for early entry.

Hi CoasterFEV!
Just got this reply last week when I inquired:

Thank you for visiting Universal Orlando Online.

If you have an annual, seasonal, or celebrity annual pass, you do qualify
for early entry.

Early entry days are as follows:

Universal Studios Sundays and Thursdays
Islands of Adventure Mondays and Wednesdays

Early admission time is 8:00am.

Please keep watching us here at http://www.universalorlando.com, as we will
have many exciting and new developments in the next few months.

Not to dispute you! (Heaven knows, we're lucky to have your insight here!)
Thanks,
Jim

Hmmm, good point.

Well, we didn't USED to allow APs in for EE. Sounds like the front gates are getting more lenient for who gets in and who doesn't. That's a good thing - as long as people are there, we might as well let them in and start their day early. Sorry about the mis-info, sounds like the info I had was a few months old.
