Purchased AP in July, activated in December, downloaded pics from May

I visited the MK on May 1, 2016, with a one-day ticket but did not pay for Magic Maker or purchase single photos.

In July I purchased a platinum pass, which I activated on December 3, 2016. When I downloaded my photos from the December trip, my download included pics from my May trip.

If this is what was supposed to happen, how far back does this window extend? In my case it was seven months.

I'm not exactly sure, but I experienced the same with a trip that was 5 months prior to purchasing my AP and I've read similar reports. I don't actually think it's supposed to work this way, but it does.

Yes, but while our pictures disappeared after 45 days when we purchased our AP that included a Memory Maker they reappeared some 5+ months after they were taken. I read other reports of the same and I think that's what OP is talking about.

photos expire 365 days and yes, pictures you thought were gone prior to your AP will reappear for download (if they aren't 366+ days old).

Personally, I doubt disney ever deletes a photo and it's annoying you can't get back older even if a fee. There is a 2014 trip I wish I could get the photos back but it comes down to photo expiration = multiple purchases of memory maker for frequent non-ap holders so they make it expire where it's better for business.

side note: it actualyl gets annoying if you go a lot to scroll all the way down to see if new ones are appearing and download just the newer ones in bulk. i've heard many delete old photos now to make it easier.

I activated my last AP in December 2015. I linked a friend for my May 2016 trip. I got her pictures from an October 2015 trip with her son. She's a cm, so she didn't have an AP. I ended up downloading the pictures for her. So 7 months later those pictures were still there.
