We’re all in agreement

I’ve only been there once and stayed in Kidani, but I loved it and didn’t notice anything negative about the furniture or otherwise. But I also wouldn’t notice or mind if they brightened it up a bit or swapped out some stuff.
I do think the carpet was gone, but I could be wrong on that. When is the next refurb?

the brown looks cheap and is an unattractive shade of brown. Those cabinets in particular are hideous.

Hideous is in the eye of the beholder. I was in a Kidani 1BR earlier this year, and thought it was perfectly fine.

I agree that the palette could be lighter without sacrificing the overall vibe, but that's not the same as "the current one is bad."

Ha, i didn't notice when i was there, but i certainly see chocolate bars now. lol
Maybe a coat of paint is an easy fix... like dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate?
