Purchase AP in order to get dining card?

If I purchase an AP or PAP for myself only, can I purchase the dining card? It would seem that this would save me a great deal of money since we eat out for breakfast and dinner and dinner usually in a nice restaurant.

Yes. The dining card is good for up to 10 people on the same check.

And you will get two DDE Cards. That is nice if you and your SO don't always travel/eat together.
