V.I.Passholder days 2025

Just booked Cape May for our June trip. I’d been avoiding it out of principle since they pulled the crab legs from the AYCE offerings and made them an add-on, but for essentially half price I’ll go. It’s easy to see why it needs the discount, I wonder if it’ll ever click with the powers that be that the removal of the crab legs is to blame for its decline…
Have not returned since they did this as they were the star of the show. And main reason why I probably won't rebook it with the discount.

It is about pushing people to where there are weaknesses in the system - and the weakness appears to be with young families. Look at where promotions are centered this summer

I guess I can see why they picked where they picked then. Honestly a few character meals at a discount is a good thing for young families. They don't have any problem filling Ohana so why offer a discount? Makes sense

I still secretly hope they offer discounts at a few signature places lol

Ended up booking Hollywood & Vine for the Fantasmic! Dining Package (because if I'm eating there we might as well get the added seating benefit for the show).

Are you anticipating getting the 40% off?

Yes. Is this not the case?
I would verify that ahead of time. A regular and package ADR are two different booking avenues. Since the discount only lists H&V without reference to Fantasmic, my assumption was the package is not included.

Given the few options my guess was they are trying to fill tables at those particular restaurants as their motive. I doubt they have trouble selling the Fantasmic packages. I def would get a confirmation on that.

You should not get the discount as packages are excluded.

When you go here and scroll down to view the "additional details and exclusions" it takes you to the general AP food discount page here where it states by H&V "Special events and dining packages excluded." (Fantasmic Package is a dining package and is never included in AP food discounts.)

Cool thanks! I was searching up and down the exclusions and couldn't find anything saying it was excluded but it looks as though my reading comprehension is not the greatest lol.

So, while it says packages aren’t included in the discount, it’s pretty vague about the “regular food” part. Do people think the over-priced crab leg add-on at Cape May will be eligible for the 40% discount?

Good question. I mean these previous "big" discounts have covered everything you ordered ... but ... each restaurant has the ability to exclude items from the discounts.

This AP holder agrees with the crew above on this one. YAWN. None of this is a draw for me.

Same. Disney just saved me hundreds of dollars on my trip!

With the extra 10% off we would've done a TS meal every day, now we will just grab QS.
With the extra % off we would've bought some souvenirs, now probably not.

I would love to see them add an AP preview week for the new Villians show or Little Mermaid, but likely not gonna happen

Does anyone know if you can take guests into the passholder lounge? We are never there for this and actually will be this time but with another couple who are not AP holders.

Says it is exclusive to Annual Passholders, you must "show" your pass and ID.

I did see that before but I’m looking for some real world info. Like is the actual experience at the door a little more flexible. Sorry, should have been more clear.

I’m not looking to take advantage of anything because this really isn’t exactly a desirable perk. We can check it out without our non-AP friends worst case.

Each time I went last year they checked each person’s ID and AP. I saw them turning people away. The lounge was filled or nearly filled to capacity each time. Genie was there for M&G.

Good to know, thanks. Every time I saw a vlogger's experience in there it never seemed that crowded but maybe there are better times of the day. Either way we'll just pop in ourselves if we can, just to see it if nothing else.

Lounge is worst yet!! Room temp water or mint tea. No ice. No snacks. Barely AC. Doing photo op with background and magic shot. Oh and a button pin …

Each had to scan MB or show AP … AND PROVIDE PHOTO ID. Pretty full considering - guess just escape from heat.
