I can't believe the March trip is in double digits already. I am so excited. I just hope it works out for me. Money is super tight right now, with Christmas and all. It's hard to think about another trip, even just a solo one. Hopefully it will still happen.

Hey! I could make some extra money. That's quite a novelty around here where most of them are fake, fake, fake.

I just wanted to say that I hope everyone is having a good December and getting into the holiday spirit.

Ruben is off this Friday (normally he'd work) so we are going to take some time while the kids are in school to go down to the Strip and see what holiday decorations we can find.

I heard on the news that they have completed the redo of the Bellagio conservatory into a "Winter Wonderland" so we are going to go take some pictures there and see how it turned out.
Some of you might remember the pictures I posted of their Fall displays (creepy trees anyone??). If not those can be found here: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=28414711&postcount=172

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to see how they can completely transform it into something new, so I'll post those sometime next weekend. If anyone has any special requests on the Strip they'd like to see, let me know. I'll see what I can do.

That was funny. I always tell Ruben if he wants to get me something for my birthday or anniversary to take me somewhere. He knows where I like to take trips to, so that's much safer.

That video reminded me of the year that my Dad bought my Mom a waffle iron. He couldn't figure out why she got so ticked. I am pretty lucky Scotty usually gets me flowers or something along those lines for the simple presents and for the bigger ones he says "Honey, what do you want do for..." Smart man.

OKay, here are the pics we took today at the Bellagio. It was so pretty. It amazes me how they are able to make it look so different from one season to the next. You can see in some of the pics they were still working on adding some flowers. Hope you like them!

After the Bellagio we went to a place called The Cupcakery. It's one of those fancy cupcake places. I took a pic since I know how everyone loves some good food porn!

They were all really good.
Starting from the left, top row:
Southern Belle
Sumptuous red velvet cake smothered with cream cheese frosting

Boston Dream
Moist yellow cake, Bavarian creme filling with a cap of chocolate ganache

Bugsy
Tasty carrot cake topped with luscious cream cheese frosting

Bottom row, left to right:
Tickle Me Pink
Our signature cake: classic white cake with pink vanilla buttercream frosting

Strawberry Shortcake
Layers of moist strawberry and vanilla cake topped with a layer of strawberry
buttercream and topped off with a dollop of rich heavy cream frosting.

Can't remember what the last one was, but it was vanilla cupcake with chocolate buttercream frosting.

They were all good, but our favorite was the Southern Belle. Mmmmm!
