Pulling an All-Nighter Disney Style - will this plan work?

We'll be visiting WDW in early June (5/30 - 6/6) staying onsite at Fort Wilderness Cabins. On Saturday, we're thinking about checking out then heading to the parks for one final day.

Here's the deal: it's evening EMH at MK. Final hours haven't been set yet, but I expect the park to be open until at least 2 am (maybe 3 am if last year's hours can be used as a guide).

Then we would head on over to the airport for a 6 am flight.

Are we still considered resort guests up until 2/3 am and will the Magic Bands still let us on the rides during EMH?

Will you have a rental car or using Magical Express? You would have to go to the resort to catch you Magical Express and factor in that time.

We'll have a rental car. Also going to the other park for a few days for the first time is several years.
