We are staying at BCV in Sept. in a 2 bdr. We (DH and I) are taking our DS-4 & DS-1 and my parents. I'd like my parents to have their own bedroom. Our two options are putting my parents in the king room and we take the queen bed, put the pack-n-play for DS-1 in our room and our DS-4 on the pull out couch, OR put my parents in the queen room and we take the king room, put the pack-n-play in our room and bring our twin aerobed (inflatable) for DS-4. The aerobed is actually quite comfortable and easy to inflate/deflate. I know that there is enough space for the boys in the living area as well, but my parents are VERY early risers and I don't want them to feel restricted in the morning trying to be quiet for the boys.
What do you guys think? I've read a couple of posts about the queen bedrooms being too cramped with a pack-n-play and the couch pulled out. But then maybe the king rooms are too small for the pack-n-play, too - I don't know.
Any suggestions? Sorry that this is wordy.
Thanks, in advance!

To be honest, neither is a good solution, but putting yourself in the studio section (2nd bedroom) has more room than the master. If you bring a twin aero, you should have more than enough room. The pull-out won't be a problem with the pack-n-play, because there is an area next to the armoire where it can also fit, but it will be tight. We actually put the pack-n-play (in my only stay in a studio) near the sink area. It was large enough, and we could keep the lights on for a few minutes more. I personally don't think the master would be big enough to put both a pack-n-play and a twin aero.

If you have a lockoff 2 bedroom, your parents would have their own small kitchen area to make coffee, toast, etc in the morning. Then your son could sleep on the pull out sleeper in the living room or your Aerobed. There is plenty of room in the master for both. I wouldn't give up the master for anyone.

Definitely take the master for yourselves! I wouldn't give that up! ;)

We have done this exact thing... us, our two kids, and grandparents. I would have the grandparents and both kids all sleep in the studio section. Grandparents in one bed, 4 year old in the other bed, 1 year old in the pack n play. The grandparents can hang out in the main living room at night and then go to bed once they are ready. The kids are going to be so dead at night they won't hear them or even flinch. In the morning they can slip out of the room and come back into the main living room to have breakfast, watch TV, etc.

If the grandparents want separate beds then I'd still have them all in the studio. One grandparent in each bed, 4 year old on blow up, 1 year old in pack n play.

Even though there is a pull out sleeper sofa I wouldn't leave the 4 year old out in the living room alone. There are too many thing to get into in the kitchen drawers, cabinets, etc. Also there are doors going outside, etc. It's just not safe.
