Publix (sp?) by parks ?

We don't have one of these stores anywhere close in the Southwest, so I don't know exactly what kind of store it is? Is it more of just a grocery store or more like a wal-greens or rite-aid? We want to get snacks and maybe milk, bread, and PBJ. And, would they have one of those styrofoam type of coolers for our milk? And, there is one pretty close to the parks, right? WE would go there on our way from the airport !! Please inform me.........

Publix is a grocery store. Most have pharmacies and deli sections.
They are every where in Florida. Here are some close ones to Disney.

Just to add to Disney Fever; Publix is very clean, basic, reasonably priced grocery store. We go to the one on 192 east in Kissimmee at Century City (Osceola pkwy??). I think it's about a mile from the WDW entrance. I don't know if it's covered in the above addresses. It is easily accessible if you take the Greenway Toll Road (rt. 417) from the airport and get off at the Celebration exit. A very close- by landmark is the HUGE Gaylord Palms Hotel. I hope I don't confuse you with these directions. Maybe someone can give EXACT directions.

Publix is owned by Kroger's which also owns Baker's, Dillion's and some others. It's all part of the largest grocery chain in the country. I don't know about the cooler. I bought one at Kash N' Karry, which is also a full service grocery store in spite of its name.

We shop at Publix regularly. Great deli, bakery and seafood department (even have sushi). Also carries a good line of low carb/diet items. And I have seen the coolers there. Sometimes they are stacked on top of the frozen food coolers.

There is a new Publix right behind Dollywood, Publix is the best Grocer in Florida.

Its also a great place to find those hard to find items (key limes, key lime juice). I get all of my birthday cakes there, and their deli carries Boars Head meats (really good). They can make up subs for you that are really good too! Sometimes theyre a bit more expensive than say Walmart, but sometimes theyre cheaper on some items. I shop there when I dont need to go to Walmart for everything. No long lines to deal with, or rude people. I love Publix!
