Publix or Winn Dixie??

Anyone recommend one or the other of these stores??
Cocoa Beach locations.
Just wanting to pickup drinks prior to cruise, and snacks after for wdw stay.
I'm not familiar with either one of these chains.

Winn Dixie can be cheaper but they also don't have as many brands and choices of some items.

Personally, I shop at Publix.

Complete with groceries, deli, bakery, florist, pharmacy....and probably other stuff I can't think of. Definitely a full grocery store.

Winn Dixie isn't even close to the type of store Publix is. They're all older stores.

Definitely Publix! They have a relatively new store in Cocoa (first exit east of I-95 on SR-528). It's newer and nicer than the older store in Cocoa Beach.

Publix compares to Winn Dixie like WDW compares to a county fair! No contest. Publix stores are cleaner, brighter, better laid out and their store brands are good quality. Yes a little more expensive, but not much.

I think by now you know the preferred store, but I just have to join in. My DS (3 on Aug 31!) has decided that Publix is one of his favorite places on Earth (Second to the "Disney Boat," of course!) He is always asking to go to Publix. All the cashiers and baggers know him. I think he feels like a celebrity when we walk in because they all come over to say hi (we usually go in the early morning, before it gets busy.)

There is no comparison! Winn-Dixie is right across the street, but I honestly don't know a single person who shops there.
