It has to be Walmart for me. Where else can you buy a pump action shotgun, a ride on lawnmower and a catering size pack of Oreo Cookies in the same trolley!!
!st time we went we stayed on Troon Circle. This time we had a villa on Northampton Ave. The Villa backed onto Sand Mine Road.
We were kept awake all night by the constant flow of lorries and dumper trucks going back and forwards to the Sand Mines.
In the end the Management company at Highlands moved us to another villa on Birkdale Ave. This was much better. However, we had to pay an additional £140.00 for the 12 remaining nights as moving someone for 'noise' is not a good enough reason in their opinion.
We will attempt to get our money back as the original villa had many faults all of which have been caught on camera !!!
Highlands Reserve is very nice and it has not put us of from going there again. We would just make sure that we requested to be away from the road.
Its easy to find - go south on the I27 from the 192. At the publix supermarket (about a mile) turn right into Sand Mine Road and HR is on the Left.
Agree there - mainly because of the high prices at Goodings!
Other than that, I'd go for:
Wal-Mart = Asda - well, they are owned by them!
Super Target = a big Tesco Extra - i.e. one of the ones that doesn't just sell food.
Albertson's = a regular 'food-only' Tesco's.
Publix = Sainsbury's - maybe slightly higher prices than the first three, (though not by much) but guaranteed good quality food.
Having said that, we typically shop at Tesco over here, but prefer Publix in Florida, so maybe my guesses aren't all that accurate after all!
Admittedly, I've only been to two Albertson's and they were both on the west coast so that may have coloured my views, but I might have to go to one in Orlando this trip as DW loves their own-brand equivalent of Bounce!
Highland Reserve looks nice. I haven't stopped there myself, I was in a villa at Calabay Parc my last visit which is about 2 minutes down the road. The villas are easy to find on US27.
As others have mentioned, theres a Publix a minute or two away, and a Goodings (I think) at Championsgate (about 5-10 minutes away).
I think Publix is a little more upmarket to Walmart.
We always go to Wal-mart on our first morning, as our body clocks have us all up at about 5 O'Clock . Walmart is open 24/7 so it's a good way to pass a few hours before everything else gets going
Oh so it is you we always see there at 5am LOL! It's usually full of Brits getting in their sun lotion, and stocking up on barrels of water!
They are very grumpy in there though - and heaven forbid you interupt a conversation. I LOVE the place and spend hours in there over the fortnight - so sad!

A woman after my own heart! lol I only shop in Waitrose and M & S too so for me it has to be Publix. Its the closest I can get to Waitrose in the States. I like Goodings too. As for Walmart, I couldnt get out fast enough. I will not be going back - awful IMO.
