PTR - it just keeps changing, World trip ending with Disney

Firstly I need to take my hat off to you for being a mum to 5 kids under 8 years old. I don't know how you do it. :)

Secondly, your plans look great. They are busy, but what a special experience.

Did you buy round the world tickets? If so, who are you flying with and did you get a good deal? I've always wanted to do a round the world flight like this, but struggled to find affordable deals.

I never intended to be a mum of 5 they twins where a huge shock from their conception to the fact their were two of them, I wouldn't change it for anything but it sure makes travelling harder.

I would not call this trip affordable but we are travel novices and we are so happy to achieve what we can in the time we can.:thumbsup2

Nice to see a PTR from you :goodvibes It's a great way to get some feedback/advice on your trip, and to keep your information together. I also find it's a great way of sharing your excitement about your trip when everyone else has had enough of hearing about it :rotfl2:

Your trip sounds busy, but super exciting!

Are you stopping off in Hong Kong at all, or just going straight through? HKDL is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area :thumbsup2

We have all of 3 hours in Hong Kong otherwise it would be on my to do list :)

Updated itinerary

London - Canada- LA still the same

LA down to Carlsbad - Legoland, we need to do that first day straight to Legoland as we are hoping it will be warm enough to do the waterpark on the Sunday afternoon.
Someone suggested doing San Diego zoo first, would it be a good idea to do that the next day and then the following day the legoland park?

Next day up to Anaheim and Disney as previously scheduled. We are however now staying an extra day and will leave on the Monday the 29th. I am meeting a friend on the 28th afternoon (Yay Yay Yay!!!) we will spend the Monday doing something what we don't know, suggestions? We need to be at LAX at 7:30pm any thoughts? :thanks:

So excited and relieved I don't have to try and drag the kids out of the park before close on the Sunday :ccat:

I know this isn't exactly trip related but today I got LASIK, to me it's trip related as I get to SEE everything at Disney without glasses.

I'm joining in to see how your PTR progresses -- it sounds like you have an amazing time planned!

Make sure you allocate time for downtime for your family -- I didn't on my first trip, and wow, the meltdowns that occurred are now the stuff of family legend :) I'm sure you will have a fantastic trip!

We really, really loved the Plaza Inn Minnie & Friends breakfast -- great start to the day, you don't have to line up to visit the characters as they come around and visit you at your table, and it's a buffet breakfast with healthy options & they can prepare things for any dietary requirements with advance notice. For our breakfast there, we saw Minnie, Eeyore, Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Winnie the Pooh, Fairy Godmother, Hook and Perla from Cinderella. We got pictures and autographs with all of them :)

Waiting for the last few days of our trip to pop up on the cal before booking the last of our reservations.
Passports arrived, ESTA approved, airpoints organised. Gosh there is so much organisation lol.
We just had a lovely mini break to Rotorua that told me we are doing the right thing with our intensive schedule. Actually since I am planning on travelblogging our world trip I might try blogging that trip as a trial :)

Tell me all about it! I'm waiting to get the go ahead from my optometrist, then I'm definitely getting it done. :hyper:

How exciting!!! I had LASIK done 8 years ago, best move ever!!! All my friends were saying how much is costs and what a waste.... Well if you have the ability to do it why not!! 8 years of being able to buy sunnies at a reasonable price and if I lost them not freaking out (which I did twice at Disney - once in LA and the other in Orlando!!)

I couldn't imagine the hassle of some of the rides wearing glasses, fear of dropping them would have just killed me (I was just totally blind - no glasses no moving!!)

You wont believe your eyes once its done !!! :cool1: totally pun intended

:thumbsup2

On our first trip to DLR I got conjunctivitis and as I had specifically gotten a contact lens script for this holiday I didn't pack my glasses  so I was basically blind the entire trip  so it would be nice not to have any of that hassle!

Oh my, worst scenario ever!

I am loving it, it's better than amazing::yes::
