How many fellow DIS'ers book the PS's 190 days out (or 180 non-resort)....I wanted to book for Oct but afraid may be too late to get my PS's....should I delay to Nov & not chance missing PS slots?

I called at 180 days to book dining for 8 nights. Got everything I wanted at the times I wanted, no problems. Last week at 99 days I decided on a whim to call and try to swap 2 of our nights. Party of 5, dinner at Coral Reef and Whispering Canyon. Not hugely popular places, but with a party of 5 it can be tricky to get a table. I was able to switch the nights without changing the times. I was shocked, but in a good way. Since you can make ADRs at 180 days without being on site why don't you call and book your ADRs, THEN make the hotel ressie if you can get the dining you want? If you can't get the ADRs then book for November. :)

Oh, didnt know could book dining 1st! :)
Is Nov or Oct a less crowded time?
I was going to book through concierge which was why I was hesitant, as I wanted to be sure they could do it:)
I just have 2 small kids who basically are taking to do CM, as they cant do any thrill rides :teeth:

To be clear, you cannot make ADRs 190 days out unless you're staying at WDW for ten days. If your trip is shorter, the number of days you can call for ADRs in advance is smaller. You can only call 180 days prior to your check-in date.

I'm not so sure I'd change my vacation dates due to ADRs, but I would make ADRs as soon as I possibly can, even if I don't know for sure where I want to eat and when. It's easy enough to change them later if there is availability, and if there isn't availability, at least I have something booked.

It's 180 days out for everyone but resort guests can book all ADRs, up to 10 days worth, at 180 days from check-in.

Saying 190 days is confusing to many and not really correct.

I booked some at 180 days but might change things a little bit when it gets to about a month out.

Thank you Beattyfamily. You explained that well to me this weekend. I was really having a "duh" moment :)

:teeth:

oop, guess Im having a "duh" moment too! idk where I read the 190 day thing before, so its 180? Were planning 7 or 8 days concierge, 10 will be too much for 2 toddlers 1st time away from home I think....so I can get PS's 180 days from check in date? :confused3 Thanks again! I had this all figured out last year when it was 90 days! The 180 days is messing w/me! ;)

Yes.... the "190" is misleading. It would probably be best to edit the original message so no more people are confused by your thread title.
