PS Question

It seems that many people here have many PS meals while in Disney, sometimes more then one a day.

My question is how can you people eat such big meals and still move? LOL. I don't mean that in an insulting way at all, so please don't take it that way.

On our trips we have maybe one or two "sit down" meals and catch a light bite the rest of the trip. With the heat and the walking I can't eat such a big meal. Also I would think that the extra time would take away from my Splash Mountain riding time :smooth:

I eat a lot more on my winter trips than I do in the summer, that's for sure!

We have one big meal a day at WDW, and eat lighter the rest of the day. Our lunch usually comes right before the day's break, so by the time we are ready to go back out we are digested and ready to run again. :)

Last trip we only made two - CRT and Chef mickeys. We have not made any PS for our January trip for several reasons:
1) don't like to be tied down to a specific park/time for meals
2) cost
3) we are light eaters
4) Too many PS takes time away from enjoying the parks
5) CRT is going to be closed this trip

I'm sure we will eat some good meals, and if we were going during a busier time I would probaly have one PS per day to make sure we could get in somewhere.

The only time we made a lot of PS was last Christmas because I did not know what to expect and we have 5 kids. Next year I will still make a lot of PS but not as many. I felt very tied down to each park but it helped to be able to have a reservation to eat. In October we still made several, more because of the 5 kids thing, but mostly because I let each one choose where they really wanted to eat and made a PS. When DH & I go alone no PS, it is usually slow time of year and we don't want to be tied down and gosh we get full really fast too. :wizard:

DH and I learned our lesson on our honeymoon trip as far as PSs are concerned. I had overplanned and made too many PSs for big meals in an attempt to eat at all of the places suggested to us by friends. It was a mistake we didn't repeat last Oct. when we went to WDW again. I made a PS for one sitdown meal a day and we just picked at other stuff throughout the day. Not only did we spend less money, but we weren't tied down by our meal plans.

The only time we did more than one in a day, was when we did Chef Mickey's for breakfast. Then we did the Fantasmic Dinner Package that night, so we kinda skipped lunch. Otherwise, my answer is I don't know how they eat the big sit down meals and still move! It would make me sick!

This will only be our 2nd trip but I know myself that I couldn't eat that much. Our first trip we booked CM only because we had heard it was the best with little kids. This time I only booked CRT because I had heard if I didn't I wouldn't get in. Also I'm dying to try the shakes at SCI-FI. I love food and would love to try every restaurant in the world but with 3 kids there is no way we would get everything done.
Those who can eat alot of PS, I say go for it!!!!!!

We get hungry! I think one everyday around 3:00 will be just right for us. We are not breakfast people. We will have a big lunch and something light later in the day. We like to see all the characters. Its easier to get autographs and good pictures without waiting in lines! For us its a time saver. Its nice to relax and take a much needed break in the a/c.
